I think if the canucks are going to make major off season moves, a new coach will be handy, but with minor changes here and there, AV has his perks on knowing what the hell to do with the twins

Did anyone notice Cam Barker on the ice last night? How was his defense? According to his stats in Chicago during the 08-09 season he got 29 power play points out of 40 pts but -6 :derp:

IMO he should go. He's shown that he can't adjust and this week, when Ballard was scratched for Barker, I'm pretty sure everyone thought Ballard was gonna get traded or that he was hurt... I mean it's CAM BARKER. Jesus christ.

I don't understand the hate AV has for Ballard. He's a goof sometimes but he delivers some tough defensive plays. I don't see him any worst than Edler or Garrison.

Cam Barker has better upside then Ballard plus Barker got an assist lastnight with an even rating...AV should have sat Alberts for Ballard since I think Ballard is better then him...

I remember the announcers during the Kings game saying that AV benched Ballard for Alberts, because he wanted some bigger guys in the lineup against the Kings. That made some sense... but why didn't he throw Ballard back in after the Kings game?

Because they won. AV keeps a winning line up on the ice usually.

# of games suspended shouldnt be based on whether the player returns to game or not imo

gotta suspend and penalize the severity/stupidity of the hit itself, not the result or aftermath of the hit

Marian Hossa didnt return to the game after Hansen brushed him. He scored on the PP and got an Assist his night was done.

Returning shouldn't have anything to do with play. For example, come play off time someone brush Kesler he can sit out for 2 periods and have Mike Richards suspended for 2 games :blueguy:

I wouldn't be surprised if Ballard asked for a trade, and would totally respect him even if he did.... its kind of ironic how for seasons and seasons our biggest problem was having no depth on D, now we have a lot, (or even too much as some may say) and its causing us problems and headaches.

AV just likes putting his players in positions where they can't strive at all.. or puts them on a tight leash where one tiny mistake results in benching or scratching or he just has a personal grudge (seems that way tbh). The unfair treatment towards Ballard is quite obvious.. and that started when he was first traded here. He had a second major hip surgery and he was pretty much instantly thrown into the doghouse, getting scratched without patience or time to let him find his game, timing back and to adapt to a whole different system. It got better.. now its ballooning again. Other players get free rides and all the patience in the world after injuries.. but seemingly not Ballard

Maybe in reality when Ballard was hiding in that hockey bag and doing pranks, he end up getting AV. Since that day, he has been in the dog house.

Ballard has every right to lose his shit. He struggled a bit when he first joined the team, but I think everyone can vouch that's he's been one of our better defenceman this season. He's really stepped it up IMO.
