The 27-year-old Bratislava native returned from a groin injury at the end of the season. Rutherford details Halak's frustrations.
"Sources say that Halak’s frustration with Hitchcock was not focused as much on whether he should have been the team’s starting goalie against the Kings as much as it was the buildup of the way he was handled earlier in the season. He was especially unhappy about not receiving the assignment against Chicago in the regular-season finale."
Halak has one more year left on his four-year, $15 million contract with St.Louis.

How grabner is doing now is irrelevant to the canucks. Its like saying rj umberger sure would fit great with canucks right now. Grabner failed here, AND THEN he failed in Florida of all places before he gave himself a reality check. Even if he had his drive, he would have never seen the ice time nor been used in the situations which would have allowed him to develop here.

Anybody watch the CaPS VS Ranges Game 6? rangers got 5 PP and Capitals 0?

honestly refs these playoffs have been horrible. I swear NHL wants big market or marquee teams to do well. Rangers have 26 PPs this series, Capitals 13 PPs.

It boggles my mind that a team can have no PPs during an NHL playoff game, you're telling me the rangers are playing a physical, yet disciplined game? Rangers aren't known to be the cleanest team in the league.

I am biased because NYR fan, but even I will admit the officiating has been in NYR favour pretty badly. Today the refs missed a few thing against the caps and than called something's that were stupid.

if I'm not mistaken the Rangers were the least penalized team in the regular season maybe that makes the officiating in their side a bit? I know it shouldn't but it could play into a decision

Lundqvist is always good but today he's was unbeatable
