Make sure the guys at Fido don't put you on per minute billing because they recently abandoned per second billing. As an existing customer your per second billing shouldn't be changed. Stupid Robbers

scratch that, I got my10 and unlimited network calling. She's crediting me 15 dollars a month to cover the unlimited network calling for a year . I was talking to retentions and telling her I didn't want my10 cause I would have no use for it. She was nice !

it doesn' matter if you are an existing customer.. all customer new or old switching to any of the new available plan will lose their per second billing even if it's thru retention. it's like a legacy soc code now for those plan and you can't manually add in per second billing.

Simplex123 07-27-2012 03:32 PM

Yeah but I'm just saying that the reps fuck things up some times. So just watch out

BlackV62K2 07-27-2012 06:41 PM

Got this from Fido
-200 day mins (by min)
-unlimited incoming
-5pm weekend/evenings
-unlimited txt(+international)
-6GB
-Display/Visual VM/MMS
$51

Still month to month.

I was basically paying $65 + tax for the same thing but less mins before. Called in and asked if they have something similar to Koodo $60 plan and got that. Not too concerned about Canada nationwide mins that Koodo has.

and 10% off if you guys have unlocked phones with waived act fee. so essentially $61 for everything on 30 days

I can't seem to find this promo on their site.

Currently with Wind on the 40/mo unlimited everything plan. But it's ridiculous that the only place I don't have service is in my own home.

Are these promos available at authorized dealer locations such as wirelesswave or bestbuy or would I have to go into the dealer specific store?

true dat.

anytime a REP promises something, get their name, note the date/time, and get an "interaction number" (basically the # of the recording of your conversation) you just had.

all evidence on your side if they mess up.

i just switched to the $60 6gb, before i had the $65 for 6gb old plan from last year.
the other change i made that i didnt see anyone mention is for an extra $.79 on top of your $12 (call display, text, voice) you get 100 US/International Texts. Shitty part is you can only use them while in Canada, not abroad. Seems worth it though because texting one US number is $.75 already.

it's not an advertised promo but to be safe i'd call customer service or go to an actual bell store

twitchyzero 07-29-2012 02:41 PM

good deal
i have pretty much the same plan minus the My10 and and 3G instead of 4G
but it's a grandfathered family plan

I have the same plan you have with Wind as well but looking to switch too.

I find that the reception is too unreliable, I have issues hearing people and sometimes I have to call a number 2-3 times to get it to connect.

And all authourized stores are able to carry all the promo plans as well.

I went into Best Buy Mobile at Richmond Center and Future Shop and they both carried it.

So which carrier has currently the best offer without any retentions involvement?

shenmecar 07-30-2012 04:48 PM

Just got this from Customer Relations with my credits carried over from my old $60 My10 + 1GB plan that I got last year. Customer Service told me all my credits will drop off if I go for this Super 6GB plan. I told the CSR to transfer me to Relations NAO!

So $60 plan, -$10 on the plan, $8 CID, -$4 on CID, so Im paying $54 + tax.

The good thing about this plan is that it no longer has the GRRF that my old My10+1GB did, so in fact, Im actually paying $2.13 less.

i honestly still believe bell has the best of the 6gb plan available if you don't mind being on a contract.

200daytime
evening/weekend 6pm
unlimited inc
6gb
10hrsmobile tv
cid/vm ($7)
unlimited txt
fab 10

you can get 10% off the phone plan if u do it month to month no contract and no activation fee. only thing is i'm not sure if u get unlimited incoming without a contract.

I think I might get on this plan. I was talking to a friend of mine today who works at one of those mobile kiosks and he said to either go with the Bell or Telus plan. That 10% off could basically mean "free" vm/cid if it's $7.

Really wish I could change that Fab 10 option, I don't talk to that many people. :alone:

Yup I agree, and if you're a NFL junkie like me, the mobiletv on Bell alone makes it heads and shoulder above Telus/Rogers as you get NFL Network, along with TSN/TSN2, etc... really handy when you're out and about and want to catch up on some highlites/news/training camp stuff

i only wish mobiletv works on non bell firmware phones :( i have 2 bell line but both on non bell phone :okay:

gilly 07-31-2012 12:03 PM

eff.. i just called for the 6gb data plan and they wouldn't throw in caller id for free. Asked to transfer my discounts and credits and she wouldn't budge.

gilly 07-31-2012 12:13 PM

how do you guys get into retentions? Do you go to "cancel plan" in automated voice?

you calling the customer support line? choose the option for existing customer, change your rate plan. talk to the person and tell them to transfer you to retention and when asked why just say you are thinking about switching orcancelling

gilly 07-31-2012 01:01 PM

^ thanks.

called and got the super 6gb data plan plus $3 for caller ID.

Don't you just need to download their app? Bell Mobile TV - Get the App

Still on the fence of switching over but I'm leaning over to bell. Might do the Month to Month to get the 10% discount until the next iPhone comes out

604778 08-01-2012 12:59 AM

I had to renew my contract with Rogers a few months back, due to losing my phone. Since I have the 6Gb plan for Rogers. I wonder If I would be able to get the same plane if I switch over to Fido to get the new iPhone when it comes out.

you can get the apps but it still wont work. you'll get a connection error everytime. i don't understand why because it works on all the ipads and galaxy tabs regardless of whether it's a bell fw or not :(
