2012 PNE

It's coming up fast. The freebie day is going to be on the 20th this year - a Monday.

Opening day is the 19th.

The Fair at the PNE - Pacific National Exhibition - 100 Years of Fun

Gh0stRider 08-03-2012 11:34 PM

come for free admission in the morning on the 20th then get the re-entry and come back at night.

Vancity is having their member day on August 22nd this year. $5 gets you in if you're a member (admission only), and apparently you can also get a friend in for $5 too. Saw it posted in the Brentwood location on Wednesday morning. Thought I would share in case some people (like me) didn't know about it :)

Nick would be good if he'd do anything that he did with BSB, but I highly doubt he will...
Hanson would be dope if they do any of the following, lol:

I get complimentary PNE admission too but I'm cheap so I go during the freebie morning to maximize my cheapness. It's not worth paying for admission to the PNE. :fullofwin:

Local News Story - CKNW AM 980: News. Talk. Sports.

If you think parking at the PNE is expensive, wait until you hear about the potential fines for illegally parking in the neighbourhood.
Fines start at $100 for those who illegally park, while residents who allow illegal parking could be smacked with a $2000 fine.
Taryn Scollard with the City of Vancouver says finding alternative transportation might be the way to go.
"So the best way to get to PNE would be to use transit, to bike or to walk. If you do drive your car, it's best to use one of the designated parking lots in the area."
A spot in a designated area costs $20 but many PNE-goers have traditionally paid residents to park on their property.
