The bear walked away, The rider not so much..
Hes just lucky he stopped to adjust the cam before he started off again or he might have been going much faster...

Raid3n 08-22-2013 04:34 PM

if he hadn't stopped he likely would have gone past the bear before it got to the road.

:fullofwin: very true lol

Quick review :

Went to Bayside today to have my tires changed.

A+++ experience. Ben was great, the staff was great and the mechanic was awesome. I was skeptical because I had heard some mixed things but I will 100% be going back there in the future. I was very impressed. Ben greeted me in a very friendly manner in the morning, checked my bike, talked my ear off (which I liked), explained a million different things to me (knowing I am a rider) and when they had finished the tire the mechanic went over a list of additional adjustments and tweaks he had made on my bike that he had noticed (the clutch feels amazing now).

Additionally : this is the first time I have ever changed tires on my bike... I have put just over 5,000kms on it in the few months I have had it and it DESPERATELY needed new tires... the difference is UNREAL.. literally like riding a brand new machine... it holds it line perfectly in corners, it stays dead straight on the road, the grip is SOOO much more confidence inspiring.... wow. Plus, it's amazing to spend under $450 for new tires installed as opposed to $2,000-ish for my cars in the past... lol..

I'm not sure why she didn't come with my Night Rod :okay:

i agree, more often than not bayside is great to deal with..

but when it came time to change my tires, they wouldn't do it because my bike was "too old".. sure it's an '84 but the concept hasn't changed...

that's the only thing that disappoints me. if i need work done i HAVE to go to modern. no one else will touch the bike.

Saw a Xerox Ducati 848 last night at manzo. Guy was there an awfully long time though. Think its one of the waitress' bf.

+1 for good samaritans

Took the turnoff on hwy 91/ westminster hwy and noticed in the blink of an eye my 2nd rider was gone!

Parked on the median and scouted around for a down (seriously worried). This nice guy flies up the median and asks me if i need a ride/run out of gas/lost 2nd rider? Mentioned he did not see a down, but offered to drive back down hwy 91 to check (wow what a waste of his time!).

Anyway I said it would be faster for me to double back, but it is nice to see there are really considerate people still on the road.

Oh and 2nd rider had engine troubles and took the quick exit, at least no down :-)

The waitress's boyfriend as well as he work there as well!

I peed a little when I saw the bikini wash fail :lawl: made my day

Hopped on a fixed machine today, I successfully held a wheelie on the heavy XR1200.

I guess you don't need a leather vest and tattoos to feel like a bad ass on a Harley (he couldn't do it :fullofwin:)

It's the boyfriends of one of the waitress! He bought that thing brand new and just recently painted it like that!

He is there most days of the week, he works in the sushi bar.

uh oh... after sitting for only a week and a half, my gsxr battery died. Tried to start it up last night and it whimpered and faded out.

Bought a Battery Tender Plus today to see what'll happen after i give it a charge.

Gwilo 08-27-2013 06:31 PM

Fuck. Rode home tonight and wondered why my ass was getting soaked ( enough where my balls were wet) and when I got home, I checked and my rear fender is completely missing. Someone stole it :(
