use this
pull the clutch in, put some in where the cable goes into the shroud.
squeeze and release a bunch, rinse/repeat. (i just realized i should probably add... don't actually rinse it... it's a figure of speech. some in their quest for knowledge may over look that. better safe than sorry haha)
that is the easy way. not as effective but works
the other way is to remove the cable entirely, put some in, slide the cable around and repeat til it comes out the other side. repeat the process minus adding more until it stops coming out the other side.
reinstall cable

Installed some new LED turn signals w/ hd12 flasher unit. Helped clean the front end up quite a bit. Should satisfy my modding addiction for a week or so. Gotta start making my shopping list

So... How do you riders stay dry in weather like this? Right now I only have my bike.
Yesterday I went for a cruise. I live in steveston where it was beautifully sunny. Once I got to queens borough it all if a sudden became a tropical storm. Within 5 minutes my boxers and undershirt where soaked through ( after pants, shirt, jacket etc already being ruined)
Guess it's time to rain suit up?

store a bright big yellow garbage bag under seat or somewhere. Worst case scenario : cut 3 holes for arms and neck. Pull over body. Not pretty, but helps in a dire situation  Posted via RS Mobile | |

If you have a rain suit on underneath, you will sweat your bag off and probably be more wet. I wondered the same thing when I see riders (I dont have a bike yet) in the rain and thought they must have spent some good coin for waterproof gear, but I guess I was wrong

Works great for me, never had a leak. But it gets hot as shit, even in like fall/winter weather, that I end up just wearing a sweater or something underneath.
Honestly though its such a hassle taking it on and off that I only would use it if I HAVE to ride in the rain for longer than 10 min. Plus when you take it off its wet n shit and gross.

I have a Dainese Gore Tex jacket keeps me extremely warm and dry.
I need to invest in a pair of pants too... the Jeans still get soaked  | |

I have one of the bright red Ferrari pit crew rain jackets, super light and incredibly water proof. I wore that to work today. But my jeans still got soaked through. Ugh I need to pick up a new DD

how is the Sidi Cobra Boots compared to the Alpinestars S-MX 5 . My brother has alpine* and I don't want to get the same boot looking for something in the same price range tho

Get what fits you the best. Different brands fit different. Check with Aaron at Modern. He has both brands

As for rain gear, if the weather is questionable, I'll wear my jacket with the waterproof liner in. If forecast is for 40% chance of rain or higher, I leave bike in garage.

I happen to fit both the A* and Sidi (have the S-MX 5 and Vertigo Corsa)
You may want to check out Gaerne, Bayside has them

I installed a new posh CDI today, didn't really notice any difference. Just ordered a few parts for my ruckus!
- dorf seat frame
- MNNTHBX gp exhaust
- sigg coolant resovoir mount
- pair block off plate
But I still have a bunch of parts I need to order, and figure out which brands and kits will be the best.
- mojo fatty stretch kit (with Douglas 12x8)
- pc20 carb kit
- new rear shock
- set of variator weights, and carb jets
- clutch springs and stuff
