We used to go always go to the “Christmas in July” boat parties Have spent quite a bit of time up there, been going to Savary for the last 25+ years. Desolation is one of the greatest places I’ve ever been. Wish I could ball on some day cruiser etc. and spend extended time up there From a few years ago: https://i.imgur.com/tNQ6I8h.jpg https://i.imgur.com/FBcwWds.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/eX0nhXU.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/dR5KzUI.jpeg |
^Man that would've been amazing, 3 days out there was great though. I'm surprised how warm the water is in those fjords, could swim for hours with the seals, felt like lake water. |

That's why they say the two happiest days of a boaters life is when you buy the boat and sell the boat. |
I always wonder why the rich people always gets sued, I assume with that much money you can just "buy" them or at least shut them up. Like can't Donald Trump afford more than $130k to shut up the hooker. What happens in international waters stays in international waters. Just like that ocean gate thing. |

https://i.postimg.cc/YC9xvRdB/IMG-1265.jpg so this sucker in hong kong needs 2 captains, a crew of 6 and it costs something like 23,000cad to fill up. don't ask about the moorage fees, I cant even comprehend how much a yacht slip costs in hong kong. couldn't even pull up to the slip in Stanely, too shallow. Needed that garbage tender to come pickup you can tell it super chinesey because there is no on-deck space for sun tanning (wtf is that?) |
Yachts like that are typically plan built instead of bespoke designs. Pump out a handful at once. A buddy used to build similar albeit older boats in Richmond for American clients. |
I heard China boats are much cheaper, I talked to a guy saying he bought a 40? 50? Foot boat from China for like $100k and it would cost like $400 if he bought it here. |
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...type=top_picks All this boat talk and this is what shows up on my marketplace. If I had $1.5M USD, I don't think I would buy a boat this dated... |

Those chairs are horribly uncomfortable too. Like mediaeval torture devices. |

It'd only make sense if someone can integrate it into their portfolio as tax reduction. Anything sub-1M and brand new? That's going to be quite barebone if it's actually capable of crossing the pacific. |
Lol what site am I on, Yachtscene? Amirite? We went from riced up civics to Yachts. |

no man, no. For a sailing yacht (which most cruisers use) there are a ton of choices below 1 mil. These are the ones I've been eyeballing. Its a relatively affordable purchase price, it has huge space for me and ocean spy balloon and its blue water certified. like in all seriousness, its the price of a Ferrari. I cheaped out on not getting that stupid Roma, I might as well buy a nice boat later when I retire and YOLO The fuck outta here. |

Yacht party on Hobz? |
I even got the boat name picked out. BIG HOBZ the little tender will be Little Hobz (too poor to pay for a real bunker burning boat, thus I choose to sail cuz its free) |
