So now that things are mostly sorted with the sale of my first house in Calgary and purchase of the 2nd one…. I can safely share a couple of photos which explain why I jumped at the 2nd house and went on this journey, it’s a dream home for both of us in a manner of speaking but especially to me because of the garage and shop situation…. So basically an attached 2 car garage and a detached 3 car shop. Total unicorn of a house situation. I’m super excited to finally be able to do real car projects for the first time in my own space!

House is in Hawkswood neighbourhood, so its right across from Crowfoot Crossing... definitely Calgary proper. 19 minutes drive to the centre of downtown according to google maps.

It's a really big pie shaped lot and from what I gather in Calgary as long as structures only cover 55% of the land you're in the clear.



The listing actually said the shop has an epoxy floor... I can't really see that in the pics and I haven't seen the place in person yet, but I guess it might be just a plain grey one. Ill definitely look into one of those speckled ones.

That's cool you are walking distance to the shoppng mall. It's rare to find a walkable suburb in Alberta that doesn't require taking a car everytime you leave the house. But in the summer you can walk to the mall, have drinks and dinner and walk home, which is rare in AB.
