okay... took me long enough to finally figure out how to root / flash roms
just flashed the milestone 1 aokp today... aside from some additional customization settings and what not, is there anything else different with the phone?
although i found the battery life on stock to be more than sufficient... this will be an added bonus
feels great finally flashing a rom, i never got around to doing it on my s3 because the info overload was too much for me, i gave up every attempt to learn lol
next to do list... enable LTE
edit: if anyone has LTE on their nexus 4, gimme a shout out
So I ordered an orb through puremobile. And then I got a refund because they couldn't ship it by the time the paypal pre-order authorization ran out. And then it arrived in my mailbox yesterday.
So far, so good. My phone sticks and stays in place--possibly because I'm using the nillkin case and the rough back helps the orb grip the phone, but also possibly because the rubber on the orb itself seems to be of the semi-sticky variety. When charging my phone has gotten a wee bit warmer than it otherwise would which is hardly a surprise, and it's very easy to use while I'm at my desk without taking it off the charger due to the angle.
TL;DR: I have an orb, it was free and it works great so far.
I actually bought this. Took a long ass time to ship but I got it just a few days ago. It's awesome and sends a full 850ma or so to the phone. It's more for emergency in my bag kinda thing. I wouldn't wanna carry this normally in conjunction with my phone. The ideal solution is if someone released a clip on battery case like the ones available for iPhones.
I'm trying to get rid of the google search bar on my phone and it doesn't seem to be working the way it use to. Before i'd just go to settings>apps>google search>disable. this would completely take away the bar. now, it just removes the function and the word google and the mic symbol. an empty grey bar is still there and immovable.
i should mention my phone is bone stock 4.2.2 as well.
