Has anyone gotten their micro > nano sim adapter stuck in the nexus 4? Mine's been inside and now when I want to switch back I can't fucking open the sim tray.

Can't really do much other than turn it face down and push REALLY hard on the sim tray eject point. It'll eventually come out. It sucks that the SIM tray opening it big enough for a nano SIM to fall right through.

That didn't work for me but I googled and found this: Quote:
This problem happened to me as well. I purchased my n4 a few days ago and came from an iPhone 5 with nano simcard. I purchased a nano to micro sim adapter in a local store and I could not get it to work with nano sim in the adapter. I then tried it without the nano sim and just the adapter and it got stuck..
After some hours I was able to get it out without damaging anything. Here is how I did it:
Cut two or three strips of thin hard plastic, e.g. the boxes that headphones or other electronics or packed with. The strips need to have enough length, about 3cm and the width should not be wider than the simcard tray, a bit smaller.
Use the ejection tool to get the stuck tray out as far as you can. Mine was just enough to shove my nails under the tray. Once the tray popped out a bit you should try to slide the hard plastic strips next to the simcard adapter, on both sides. Depending on the thickness of the plastic this might not go easy. It is important that the plastic strip is not super easy to bend and that is is pushed as far as you can without using extreme strenght. If it slides in really easy you should try using an extra strip of plastic.
I then used the ejection tool to get it out a bit further, which i was not able to do before. I then gently pulled the two strips at the same time while also pulling the tray with my nails. I was finally able to get it out a bit more, just enough to slide the nano sim in the adapter. This was not easy and I had to push it in by using a tooth picker. Do not use a needle because it is too sharp and might damage your simcard or other things. Once the card was shoved in I could get the tray out..

Took me so long to actually get out though lol. But I finally got it out

Dropped the phone on the pavement today, lucky the screen didn't crack. Nicked the bezel pretty good though. |

I rock my screen naked too, I hate having screen protectors on my phones. I like the curve screen on the nexus 4. Shit I gotta be more careful with it though.

I know this phone can work with any carrier but is there anything special I need to do if I buy this off Craigslist from a Fido/Rogers person and I'm on Mobi/Wind?
Or is it just as simple as insert SIM and be happy?
Might be a dumb question but meh

What he said. Though you may need to change your APN settings if they don't get automatically detected.

The majority of web pages out there are white and they look wayyyy better on an IPS screen. Couldn't stand those blue/green/dirty whites anymore on an Amoled and the battery hit that comes with displaying whites. I also find the dark blacks on Amoleds to be very over-rated vs what you lose in color accuracy and whites.

Can you have a slide launcher and pattern lock with this ROM?
I'm on AOKP right now and it doesn't work for me. Using the milestone 1 version.

Might be a dumb question but meh | My experience with the nexus 4 so far has been that buying it brand new with warranty is worth the extra 50$. I've had to warranty mine once and had to warranty the one I bought for my girlfriend 2 times. This is all within 6 months of owning the two phones. Posted via RS Mobile |

Best full phone front and back screen protector? Invisible Shield? Clairvue?
Went through the thread and there isn't that much discussion about it

You need wet apply for the front screen because the edges of the screen are curved. I ordered a Skinomi and a BestSkinsEver front and back. Coincidentally for sale if anyone's interested.

XtremeGuard
$15 for front and back... not back... I like it because you can take it off, clean it with little soap and reapply it again...

What ROMs are you guys using now? I find that they're all so boring nowadays. I was flashing a friend's S3 and this ROM called hyperdrive is loaded with features - some more useful than others, but the thing is.. you can enable/disable mods within the aroma installer making the installation process very simple.
Seems like all the N4 ROMs are the same nowadays.. Either all very stock or has weird black themes.
