if the new Accord is any indication, Honda knows whats up, it just took a long time to get there

i havent been impressed with the Civic since 2000. my 93 has 291 000 kms on it, i neglect the fuck out of it and its still the best car ive ever owned

donjalapeno 11-12-2012 04:41 PM

i dunno what some guys are smoking but the refresh looks great compared to this monstrosity of blandness

http://images.cars.com/supersized/DM...1/CS006589.jpg

atleast now it looks classy and almost like a mini 2013 accord

Lomac 11-12-2012 04:48 PM

It definitely looks a lot better, at least in pictures. I'm more interested in seeing how it looks in person, along with what internal adjustments have been made.

imho, cars these days have similarities regards of designing everywhere.

8th gen coupe look-a-lie c class coupe, 9th gen sedan look-a-like genesis' ass, blah blah blah.

Don't wanna complain which car looks more like which car.

it must've took lots of time and effort for designers to come up with newer design when it comes to newer generation of each vehicles or face-lifted ones.

Keep in mind part of it has to do with crash test regulations and pedestrian safety standards, which lead to everyone having similar bumper dimensions/height and such, as well as aerodynamics and fuel economy standards which necessitate certain greenhouse shapes.

But as far as styling characteristics go, I see what you mean. Shapes of tail lights and headlights and other minor aesthetic values do seem to be "copied" from manufacturer to manufacturer, to a certain extent...

JesseBlue 11-13-2012 03:50 PM

the model is the 'top model'...i still think it's still pretty bland..

dsot 11-13-2012 03:53 PM

Not bad :considered:

Would make a decent daily driver....

bloodmack 11-27-2012 05:29 PM

6th gen or go home!

falcon 11-27-2012 08:39 PM

I dunno. My mom has a 2012 Civic and I really enjoy driving it, and IMO looks fine. It's a basic mid size mid priced family car. Does what it's supposed to do.

That's a nice exterior and interior. It even has stitching on the dash!

They re-used the 8th gen si wheels too... I always liked that style.
