Looks good with the roof rack cargo box :fullofwin:

Edit: Might as well throw this one out there

Edit2: This took a lot of time to edit... turned out great! Basically slammed it

More ideas anyone? I'm done for now.... ENJOY.

Lip spoiler with a roof spoiler :concentrate:

The trunk seems really small though... Will have to see it in person

Spectre_Cdn 11-30-2012 03:18 PM

I like the blue one. An Electron Blue Pearl one would be nice. :drunk:

The wheel sizes and the low-pros are starting to get excessive though :lawl:

Akinari 11-30-2012 05:21 PM

I still like this one the best. Dragging down the bumpers just makes the car look silly and fat.

Traum 12-05-2012 12:27 AM

Seems like the revamped car is getting some pretty positive reviews (as expected):

TypeRNammer 12-05-2012 01:10 AM

Wow they brought back the 8th gen SI wheels!

Not sure if this is posted already, but Happy posted that it'll be on sale in Canada on the 10th.

In all honestly I still think the new 2013 Civic looks bland and boring
It would look a lot better if had the JDM Civic headlights and grills, looks more refined

Akinari 12-05-2012 03:10 PM

Fun fact:

There is no such thing as "JDM headlights/taillights" for the Civic because it was Honda Japan who saw the design of the Acura CSX, and told Acura they wanted to use the same design on the Japanese Civic.

Only difference is cleared-out side markers and the grill of course.

EDIT:

:fuckthatshit: Si please, or Accord.

and the hood... and the tails..... most cant see it though. "JDM Civic" is our "CDM CSX"

having seen and driven the 13', the little things are so much nicer: interior materials being addressed... i mean i havent seen a honda with that much hard plastic before.... the 12's were just... no thanks.

Yup. That's why i like my 8th gen Si so much compared to the 9th's...

Akinari 01-09-2013 06:39 PM

I drove a 2011 DX sedan the other day. Though the interior is meh, the overall driving experience is so bland it's not even worth talking about. Numb steering, lousy brake feel, not enough power even when the gas is slammed on the ground. The entire car just feels numb.

2011 is 8th generation... We're talking about 9TH gen, And that's what you get when you drive a 140hp commuter car. The Si is much better.

The 2011/2012 civic was so shitty that we bought a corolla and that thing was more engaging.

I wouldn't call any of that segment "engaging" Civic (non Si), Corolla, Altima (2.5), Elantra, etc. All boring.

The current Elantra is actually not bad. Throttle travel vs actual mapping isn't very linear, and the springs are hopelessly soft. But the chassis is top notch, so if you can get a handle on the luxury boat body motions (ie. very, very smooth driving), it can still be sort of fun.

On the contrary, the 2.5 Altima is pretty damn fun compared to everything else you listed. I had a chance to drive one around for a week and it accelerates pretty damn quickly, at least it feels like it is because of that whiny bitch of a CVT. Car handles firmly and doesn't feel even remotely sloppy like the Civic does.

And since when as the Altima in the same segment as a Civic? :derp:

Yeah I wouldn't either, yet everyone in my family felt that the corolla was more "engaging" then the civic...yeah the 2012 civic was a giant pos, if the COROLLA drove better lol.

tofu1413 01-10-2013 12:07 AM

Sentra is same segment as Civic.

And I sell Nissans...

I also had a short 3 week stint at Honda... (quit because I hated working at that dealer)

12' Civic's interior materials are in fact inferior to the Sentra (to my surprise, usually its always been the other way around, I usually find the Honda product superior.... )

then you compare model to model, the Sentra is much more premium feel and build than the 12' Civic!! Same with features! Sentras have higher end optional features! (dual zone climate control, NissanConnect, back up camera, keyless ignition and entry.. )

They screwed up big time with the initial release 9th gen, although they have sold tons. most average joes buy them because.... well, its a Civic! the car already has established value and quality....

I could say, the Civic is no longer the segment leader of this class overall...

7 gen to 8 gen was a huge step forward.... 12' Civic 9 gen is basically half a step backward.... 13's are nice. they are better, but there isnt really anything GREAT or noteworthy about them.

akinari kun, wait till you drive the 13' Accord... I could say its even better than the Altima Overall. Feels much more nimbler, interior is higher quality and better built.... and touring models come with twin LED projector lowbeams... :sweetjesus:

note: this is my NO bias opinion. Its an opinion from a car guy point of view, not a scumbag Nissan salesman pov.

Well said. One thing i noticed about my old Maxima, Was everything felt solid and well made. (5th gen) not so sure about the mewer ones though. Actually, Does the Altima sedan 3.5 still come with a 6MT? If so, What's the price for one?

tofu1413 01-10-2013 11:20 AM

Maxima interior is still very nice..

way better materials and finish overall compared to altima.

Altimas are no longer offered in 6 speed manuals........ V6 models add manual shift mode, with 7 "speeds"

Biggest fail on the new Sentra is the manual gearbox is only available on the base model. If you want any of the option packages, they make you also take a CVT transmission. What a shame.
