I'll respond to that thread when new developments happen. You didnt post convincing media showing a better leader like Terry fighting for true power.

Im Darthchilli and I can tell you where Chile is...
You made a mistake, someone joked around it. GROW UP... no one gives a shit beyond that point.

If it was a big one, could have been bad I guess.
I was actually in Richmond, at Aberdeen NCIX, during that time. lol

El Bastardo 10-28-2012 01:44 AM

Been watching the news about it for a while and it looks like all is well. And nobody was hurt or killed. For something that powerful, I think we can call that a best case scenario.

CP.AR 10-28-2012 01:52 AM

I didn't feel it...

:suspicious:

BaoTurbo 10-28-2012 02:12 AM

Due to where Vancouver is situated in the geographical landscape of BC, Vancouver Island and the bathymetry in the region would dissipate most of the energy from a tsunami should there ever be one. However, that depends on the location of the epicenter but if it is from the Pacific Ocean then all we would likely see are higher than normal waterline and abnormal current. Nothing like what happened to Japan in 2011 or Indonesia in 2004.

xilley 10-28-2012 09:05 AM

@CTVBC: BREAKING: Another 6.4-magnitude #earthquake hit the West Coast, near Sandspit, just 20 minutes ago.

@CKNW: A 6.3 magnitude aftershock has hit the Haida Gwaii region, about 245 km southwest of Prince Rupert.

shawnly1000 10-28-2012 11:32 AM

30-40 aftershocks so far since the initial one at 8:04pm last night.

Hawaii is fine right now. I got back this morning at 6am from Maui and my parents are still there. They said the beaches are still closed but everything is back to normal. It was a weird feeling seeing a shitload of cars/brakelights heading up the mountain while I was waiting to board my flight.
