i used shit loads of foundation when i was gothic and eyeliner. mind you i had a hot ass goth girlfriend who liked it, so it is nice to have a support structure for different style choices.

i guess that's where the issue lies. even though i've worn makeup i'd still razz the hell out of you, that's just what guys do, lol. but if you're confident in how you want to look no one will mess with you. you're girlfriend and friend probably picked up on the fact that you didn't want anyone to know and that's why they're having a bit of fun.

as well go to a makeup consultant. my guess as an artist who picks up on visual cues and has worn makeup, you probably didn't do one of the fallowing

-put moisturizer on first, this prevents the foundation drying and turning into little balls.

-get the right shade and tone. shade is the value of light and dark (pale, tanned) and tone is the base hue, cold or warm, with slight colour bases (a simple example would be the small amounts of red or blue that have to match the red and blue in your skin).

-blend the foundation to the end of your face. watch under the nose, under the eyes, blend it to your jaw line (if you stop before you'll see it, if you stop bellow you'll have to do your neck to match).

-applies it too thick. if you're just using your fingers you can apply it too thick, where when you make an expresion the foundation creates a line where the parts of your face wrinkle.

You need to tell your girl it is not ok to encourage your friends to mock you for wearing concealer. I think the line was crossed.

I occasionally put on small dabs of BB cream on special occasions. Not everytime I go out though.

I dunno. I'd rather buy products that would help reduce these imperfections rather than using make-up to cover it

I think is wired unless you have to use for medical reason by doctor.
Come on you are a guy, be more confident. In fact I prefer girls who use/wear little make up. Would you rather wake next to someone totally different at night or accept someone for who they are?

Putting issues related with the touchy topic of of men putting on makeup aside, if you do want to put on foundation, do it right or don't bother doing it at all. Like BethesdaSkyrim mentioned above, everyone on TV wears makeup regardless of gender.

Who gives a fuck what people think!

Why are people putting label on everything. Like wearing make up is gay? People who wear Ed hardy or affliction are gangsters.

Either accept yourself with your red marks or accept yourself for using foundations. If you let any judgement bother you, you'll let yourself down. Your gf is obviously not someone you should be with, she's judging you for covering up your insecurities. Either ignore their comment or stop hanging out with them.

Being defensive and calling them out is stooping down to their level and shows that you allow their judgement alter your acceptance of yourself.

You do know that in film, one of the major reason men are given make-up are so the heat from the lighting won't make them all glossy and shiny in camera.

That being said, how many of these male celebrities use makeup personally outside of filming/performing?

girls, if you found out a guy you liked or went out with wore foundation or concealer how would you react? is it wierd?
In the end of the day, just do you. If you get more pussy because you wear makeup, the more power to you.

And your friend laughing at you, me and crew make fun of each other every fucking chance we get. Don't take it too personally.

If makeup gives you the balls to have a girlfriend then you need to check your balls....just sayin.
Its not the makeup that makes the man....

i think the problem is how you handled the confrontation, not the subject of the matter itself.
you were too dodgy about it, and now you're letting other people get to you.

id say..if you need the cover up sometimes, then that's fine. maybe for big nights, photoshoots or work parties etc.

Truth.

If you feel like you really do need it, then just wear it. It's obviously a self-esteem issue.
When she confronted you, you could have played it off so many ways, but you just froze. Which, fair enough, probably caught you off guard.
Have some rebuttals ready for next time.

Very true. A few of my male friends who are minor/local celebrities wear it pretty regularly.

I buy a Life brand salicylic acid treatment for spot acne. It has a mild skintone tint and goes for around $6-7. Unless you have massive acne problems that's the way to go. My girlfriend knows I use it when I get a break out particularly on obvious locations such as the nose and the forehead and doesn't even think twice about it. Do you have rosacea or some other skin disorder that gives you discoloration, or is it just an acne issue?

whatever you want to put on your face is your business, but don't pussy out when someone calls you out on it.

secondly, i bet your chicks wears tons more than you do and even wears heels and pushup bras. in terms of false advert, she's worse.

Advice: don't bother wearing make up it'll just give you a false sense of confidence. You think half of the Vancouver Specials will be as snobby or bitchy if they didn't have their short dresses, fake lashes, fake contacts, heavy eye makeup, push up bras and make up? I've woken up next to a few and believe me they act completely different without their shit on.

Dude...go to a dermatologist and solve the problem, instead of caking on a "solution".

I get the acne thing...but bags under your eyes?
