Nike acquires NFT collectibles studio RTFKT

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The startup raised an $8 million seed round back in May led by Andreessen Horowitz that valued the company at $33.3 million.

“This is a unique opportunity to build the RTFKT brand and we are excited to benefit from Nike’s foundational strength and expertise to build the communities we love,” RTFKT co-founder Benoit Pagotto said in a statement.

Earlier this month, Adidas announced a partnership with NFT project Bored Apes Yacht Club.

In addition to building out its own NFT drops, RTFKT had collaborated with other crypto creators to design items like physical shoes that utilized imagery in other NFT projects, including CryptoPunks and Bored Apes.

Did some shoe shopping for Christmas and none of the local stores (sport check Foot loocker ETC) had any of the higher end Nikes so I had to order from Nike. I hear Nike is focusing on direct sales.

Now when Nike releases a new limited edition shoe they could sell it with an NFT. If you try to buy the shoe second hand and it does not come with the NFT you know it's fake.

Also could be a great way to sell shoes. A person sells the NFT the ownership goes to the person who owns the NFT.

i bought some TIME and got it staked last week when it was at like $4300...not looking good

thoughts if this is just another major dip or the continual ride down on crypto?

That would be like selling a car and the title separately.

Just a reminder BTC was $19,500 USD last year on the 14th and Ethereum was $589.78 USD.

In regards to the crypto market overall, there isn't a clear signal yet. BTC is still holding around $47k USD. If it can hold here, it's fine we'll consolidate.

If we break $42k USD and we stay under, then it looks a lot more shady according to the charts, but if we hover around $47k, I think it's pretty strong support right here.

I need to find the reddit post, it was from r/crypto.

The poster did an excellent job detailing all the shitcoins/next best thing that has come up over the last 2 years from that reddit group. He detailed each of the coins at their peak in relation to where they are today, no joke pretty much all of them outside of BTC/ETH were at minimum -80% down from peaking within the last few years.

It was quite eye opening.

The highest price for bitcoin was in January at 47686.81 in USD. So looks like HonestTea right now is the closest with out going over. 20000 Shiba Inu is worth 21 cents CAD lol.
