for those who use btc-e, to buy BTC you have to deposit USD funds first right? what service do you use to deposit? some of the websites are in russian.. |
They are all pretty tough. The easiest is definitely to wire transfer directly to them, but it isn't that fast and it will probably cost you some money at your branch as well. |
wire transfers always seem like shady business lol is BTC-e about as trustworthy as it gets? |
Cavirtex.com Wire them money, buy BTC, transfer BTC to BTC-e, trade Posted via RS Mobile |
It's an extra $30 to wire to Cavirtex though and you have to wire a minimum of $10,000 to them for that payment method to be an option. I just wired $1000 to BTC-E as a test to see how long it takes, etc. |
I wired them $500 a while back and outside of withdrawing my BTC I don't think I got charged anything? However I had my bank account or whatever processing the payment not a direct wire Posted via RS Mobile |

You guys in GVRD shouldn't even have to worry about buying bitcoins on an exchange, you have a damn ATM machine you can go to! I'm not sure what exchange they use though. If it's Gox then it'll be more expensive |
The ATM rates are brutal... not worth it at all. |
ATM rate goes off gox cad rate. Pretty damn high. |
I guess it depends on what the exchanges charge for deposits then.. |
Actually according to support, who I emailed today, it's off of Bitstamp's exchange. Bitstamp's rate right now is $648cdn vs $589cdn on Cavirtex vs $661cdn on Gox. But either way, compared to USD it's pretty rough. On the other hand, that means it should be a good place to redeem maybe? |
I withdrew $700 from cavirtex today, $6 fee that was it And didn't get dinged at all for depositing, only ding was from btce Posted via RS Mobile |
How was the withdrawal from Cavirtex? Can they go directly to your bank account or does it have to be wired? |
Direct, I haven't received it yet, I'll post what the time line is like once it's deposited Posted via RS Mobile |
Lol @ FONTAS NMC pump. I made a cool $1500 today riding the first wave... then got out quickly. |
Sold some of my LTC for BTC the other day, but then I realized that I had actually bought quite a bit of it WITH BTC a long time ago when I discovered it.. back then it was over 0.02 BTC :heckno: I bought it back at 0.0124 which is that single low trade of the last few days... phew... Will start selling LTC for BTC again if the margin ever reaches 0.025.. not sure if it ever will though |
I've been pretty happy with my last few trades as I hit about 80% of the overall peaks within the last few weeks Although I sold about a quarter of my LTC when it first spiked at 4 :okay: Posted via RS Mobile |
And my 25000 FTC just paid off big time. I'm out before it crashes again. This is fun. |
Don't think it's too late to mine BTC just because it's too difficult for a GPU Bitcoin Mining with a GPU is Still Viable - Using Litecoin :fullofwin: |
I've been getting 0.32 LTC per day mining with my 6950 pretty good considering the price I thought Posted via RS Mobile |
TRC is on a big upswing because it's not being delisted on BTC-E anymore. |
Just as an update... they credited my USD that I wired Tuesday afternoon to my BTC-E account overnight last night. However, when I went to withdraw to another exchange, it says there is a 30 day hold on all wire transfers. I can trade with it in and out of BTC, but can't leave the exchange. However, they've said that if we upload ID we can decrease this time. |
Can you not buy BTC then send the BTC out? Or it's a hold on all funds? Posted via RS Mobile |
It's a hold on all funds. That was what I was trying to do - deposit USD, buy BTC, withdraw BTC... |
