For me, i'm investing because i'm convicted in what I buy.
My outlook is 20 years from now. I'm simply accumulating until I'm old enough to retire, then i'll take profits.
I held in 2017 from $20k all the way down to $3k and now we're at $60k. I guarantee it'll drop at least 50% and stay there for a long time, but then we'll have another bull run.
And if it doesn't run again, that's on me. But, i'm convicted in 20 years it'll be more than $60k.
If it's not, then it's not and i'm a fool for holding.
Invest only what you expect to lose. That way, you'll never be butt hurt.
That's the way I see investing anyway.

^to his point though, many of my friends who invested in 2017 dumped their positions and never got back into crypto. They lost a lot of money at the time, but at the time they thought it was better to get 20-30% of their principle back than nothing.
Lucky for me, or stupidly, I just held and here we are today.
I suspect the same thing will happen this time around. We're going to see a major crash and a lot of people are going to "lose" (paper loss) a lot of money, but those who have diamond hands will be okay if you can hold out long enough.
It's like in 2008, if you invested at the peak of 2008 in the stock market the market crashed and it took six years to get back to your principle amount. If you have enough cash flow to sustain six years then you'd be okay, but if you bet the mortgage then you're going to have to sell and take a huge loss to pay bills.
Like Buffet has always said, he doesn't know what the market is going to do in the next few years, but he's certain the market will be higher 20 years from now.
Again, invest what you don't need in the short term. Don't invest on Margin. Margin calls are no joke.

I think this bull run is done. Helped a buddy get into crypto in 2017 and he ended up buying a bunch of shit coins and losing money. Well he is back at it again. He bought Dodge, Shiba and Ven. Way to many shit coins being created and pumped Every day. all claiming the have a great marketing plan with a bunch of tik tokers on board. Coins like Bitcoin and Eth still have a long way to got but you will not see any ATH's for a while.

Crypto is always going to be like this due to the lack of regulation, but the prevalence of Tik Tok in the most recent years has made it a lot worse this time around.
Throw in what happened with GME and now you got a cult of retards with shitcoins that are calling it diamond handing instead of bagholding.

My friend has this group he and some other slimy sales guy are trying to build, where they want to organise ppl to pump n dump shit coins, and they're just so unprepared and uneducated about crypto that it looks like a huge failure before they even begin (IF ITS NOT A SCAM) what's worse is theyre already suckering people into joining them because they're successful sales guys (in completely irrelevant sectors)
I just hope anyone interested in crypto does their due diligence before giving anyone their money, or believing anyone when throwing their money into something

Someone should tokenize a car or property. hear me out. You have a token that you give out to as many people as you can for free. just a little each. Then you auction that property for a one-week rental. People who want the property will have to buy more tokens causing the price to go up. All tokens are pre-mined and supply is limited.

People's main "issue" with crypto is "what's the value?" Well besides "people are willing to buy it right now". The value of bitcoin is that it can be used as a currency. You can currently go to stores online and off, and buy stuff with it like money. The value of ethereum is that you can use it to mine for bitcoin. I consider it kind of a semi-shitcoin. But there is some value, people are buying it with their bitcoin, so it's something.
Then there's the shitcoins. What's the value of doge? It's literally a joke.

I've been investing in Crypto since 2017. I guess that means I have some experience.
I kind of know what crypto is and I kind of know what some of the projects want to do, but I am first to admit that I have no freaking clue what i'm doing here.
I like BTC, ETH, ADA, but i'm not going to pretend that I even understand anything close to what I should know.
I guess BTC is more of a store of value for the moment, ETH is the only cyrpto that seems to have a use case where other cryptos are built and ADA created this illusion that they're scientific? I don't even know what that means. I know that ADA hasn't materialized because like a lot of things in life, ADA is trying to be perfect. Most times it's better to be done than perfect, when you try to be perfect, it just never gets done.
If anyone is overly confident in a crypto (or anything for that matter), I would be cautious.

Just an update on my cousin who went $6k into ICX.
As of today, he's down 30% or about $2k as the crypto market has fallen. He's telling me he wants to dump another $2k into ICX...
I told him.. Please, please STOPPP. haha, but he's a big boy and it's up to him.
Anyone buying the dip right now? The next support level for BTC I can see is at $30k, which means there's still a ways to go. If it hits $30k, i'll be buying more then.
