i did, @ ikebukuro. only had yamazaki (no age) /hakushu 18 and harmony for 4900 yen
i went to liq store near my hotel. yamazaki was a little cheaper than BIC.
after tasting hakushu at ana lounge in HND. i wish i had bought hakushu 18
i have my flight thru NRT.. hope to find something

Had the Hibiki 21 on board ANA, I kinda liked 18 better. Hakushu a little peaty/smoky for me.

Plenty of stock right now of Taketsuru 17 and 21 at department stores around Nihonbashi in Tokyo. At least when i was there 2 days ago. Didn't see a single bottle of aged suntory product anywhere except for a couple 50ml bottles of Yamazaki 12 at Liquor Hasegawa.

Also-- toured the Kavalan Distillery in Taiwan. Honestly, found most of it ok, nothing great. Except for the Fino. It's wonderful.  | |

so i ended up at NRT, and guess HIbiki 17 stock was replenished.. 
guess im done buying Japanese whiskey for a while. maybe save up for hibiki 21-30 or yamazaki 25 etc. saw them going for about 25000 yen.
Plus need to buy more shelf space. bottles like glenmorangie or 1l duty free
bottles dont fit.

i cant stand Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select, dont know if its bourbon that i dont like or just Woodford. taste like drinking leather . my ex roommate drank most of it.

yeah definitely need green tea with Chivas 12 because it is absolutely not smooth at all.
