I played a MMORPG for a couple of years, racked up $300 in in game items. The admin thought it a good idea to ban my ass, so i did a chargeback.
they ended my service, i did not, so paypal sided with me and refunded my cash as i no longer had access to my purchased items.
in the OP's case, he's wrong and won't get anything back.

To answer your question, if your PayPal funds come from your credit card, you'll be able to charge-back through your credit card provider. Since the items are intangible, PayPal isn't likely to side with you.

They banned my account with all the items I bought via donation from paypal 90$ for ingame items, and thats why im asking about chargebacks, the admin said go fuck yourself and go get a chargeback through paypal because he refused to give me my money back. Is what I meant | That clarifies a lot, because originally it sounded like you'd bought the stuff, THEN asked for a refund, THEN got banned... which made no sense at all.
Whether you consider it goods or services, the fact is, you paid for something and then was denied the use of it. Unless the admin demonstrates a valid reason for banning you (ie. broke the rules, hacked the game, etc.) I don't see where PayPal OR your CC should deny a chargeback.

This is legitimately the weirdest thread I could have wandered into tonight, and since all I really paid attention to was the mention of 90 dollar porn memberships I will help the best I can.
