Just finished watching this game on my PVR.

Overall I thought it was a good game by the Canucks. The call-ups played good in fact I think they looked better than our normal 4th line (Weise-Sestito-*insert player here). That being said, I think this might've been Sestito's best game as a Canuck, he had some good hits (especially the hit on Oshie). I didn't like the call against Kassian though but overall I wasn't too impressed with his game. When Kassian has the puck he doesn't take it too the net, he's too much of a perimeter player and his hits look kinda feeble too.

Tanev looked terrible in OT. He needs more upper body strength and someone needs to light a fire under him; even Eddie Lack got upset and pushed back when someone wacked him, Tanev did nothing. I wish more of the players had Bieksa's grittiness!

Tanev looked worn out, fatigued.

Might be injured from all the blocked shots, he's currently tied for 3rd in the league with 29.

Both of them are on tryout contracts with Carolina's AHL affiliate.

Tryout contracts don't extend to the NHL. The Canes would need to sign them to SPCs to use them in the NHL.

Don't worry, the players know what is up. They will figure it out amongst themselves in the room. Its the assistant coaches job to figure out the defense and offense, pp and pk, and AV will continue to work his gum.

They've been on the road for literally a month now.. I don't really blame them.
