Nothing official yet but Thornton's hearing (which he said is happening) expected to be in person. That allows suspension of 6 or more games

He did have teary eyes after the ref held him back seeing what he did... It wouldn't been a KO if it was somebody else. Orpik was previously concussed which is why he got KO easily.

Neals knee impact had more force than Thorton's punch.

thornton was absolutely in the wrong on his shit with oorpik. guy had absolutely no chance to fend for himself. heat of the moment....can bring out the worst

as for neal, he takes it for the team (and the league) and gets a couple games. but marchand has had that coming for a long time

We have seen the NHL try to crackdown on headshots to improve player safety.

-don't know what the league can do stop headshots when it involves players' knees hitting another player's head or what Thornton did to Orpik.

Thornton pretends that he's a UFC fighter with those dangerous punches to Orpik's head.

Orpik was treated at the hospital and was conscious and subsequently released.


Orpik's initial hit that Thorton was responding to, looks clean to me but unfortunately Loui has a concussion now
