I registered just to let you guys know that "the thursday crew" is being "blamed".

There were almost a dozen cars last night burning out of there in some form or another... the kid in the Suby was just trying to show off like the rest of the group did, of which many are members here.

Fair warning: the sergeant at the scene (tangent: the ONLY reason the cops showed was because some moron London Drugs employee set off the burglar alarm when leaving - they were responding to an alarm call) made it quite clear to me and some others that they will be lying in wait in the area on Thursdays to hand out a few more stunting tickets. Enjoy your 7 day impounds if you're going to disrespect the place that has so generously allowed all of us to show up there and hang out on Thursdays.

Don't shit where you eat. Go take it back to the industrial area.

Thanks for the heads up. I actually like the idea that they will be camping there. Most of us don't do the stupid shit, and the people that do will get caught for it. Works for me!

Can't be helped, but it's like that with most of the meets that are on revscene. 99% of people are respectful and roll in and out in a quiet manner. Just takes that 1% revving like retards to ruin the image for everyone else..

The cops have been very accommodating to all groups that come to Market Crossing over the past year or so. The onus is on all of us to self-police ourselves and call out those we see publicly for their idiocy.

I encourage all of you here to start calling out your peers when you see them acting like fools.

There's a time and a place for that stuff; it's not in a Tim Horton's parking lot full of non-car enthusiasts who look at all of us and paint us with a single brush.

you guys are acting like byrne meets are new, and so are the idiots. neither of which is true lol. byrne meets have been happening in car communities (honda forums, subi forums) for years now. the only reason there are problems now is because of the attitude and the behaviour that the people bring. too much garbage? never used to be a problem before. too many people revving? why don't the organizers of these meets get up and do something about it then?

these problems will continue if you let them. i've seen so many byrne meets done by different clubs time and time again, and have never seen or heard any of the shitshow that seems to be a weekly occurence now

Stock and Noob Meets - Winter Edition @ Ironwood Plaza Saturdays? :troll:

Jokes aside, I don't recall there ever being an official "organizer" to these Thursday meets (sorry, my hairs are too grey to attend) so unfortunately, meets like this become a free for all.

The "organized meets" i.e. Sunday meets @ Ironwood, Stock and Noob meets - at least they are somewhat organized and announced. There is someone behind organizing them so there is a structure and somewhat of an expectation.

Did we ever have a problem at Stock and Noob meets? Yeah, maybe when TOS'd showed up in his pedophile van. But other than that, I can't think of any one single mishap. Even Richmond RCMP came out to our meets in hopes to build a good relationship with all of us! This is always a good sign!

But yeah, I avoided these Thursday night meets @ Byrne because there isn't a face or reputation behind it. If I don't know anyone there, I ain't going and as a result, I don't get branded, having my car spilled all over the sidewalk or wrapped around a pole while being ridiculed on an online forum.
