yes but the idea is that the 2nd kid could have screamed while the first one gets crushed.

The kids were sleeping. One could have been killed without the other knowing.

as a snake owner I have witness multiple feedings and none of them are ever completely silent, the prey does not die immediately, even if the snake got the prey perfectly on the head there is still ALOT of thrashing before actual death. Sure you might not hear it in the next room and there is no way you would not have notice if your in the same room. However If the snake actually strangle the boy they should find the body inside the snake not outside..... Which leads to the other possiblity, the snake simply fall through the ceiling and landed on the kids killing them on impact, which is every more weird... a 15 ft rock python is not a light and nimble beast, climbing up ventilation systems???????????????????

Seems suspicious. Got a feeling the owner isn't telling the whole story.

That's pretty generic. There are dozens of ways to get asphyxiated. Is there any detailed report?

And is it true the snake was upstairs in the next room and not in the shop below ?

^ Conflicting statements from the store owner, he began by saying that the snake was downstair and made its way up the vents, now he is saying that it was really upstair. initial report say there were bite marks on the kids but didn't say the cause of death. This is getting more and more suspicious.

relax a 4 ft python is very small, can't even eat a cat even if it tries. probably someone's ball python got lose, it will either rid the surrounding area of mice and rat or it will just die before its found.

This really worries, all these negativity in the press feeding on ppl's irrational fear of all snakes.... hopefully this wont result in a backlash towards the snake keeping community.
