oh, and get a GT-R

This is the sort of thread I expect to see from somebody with a join date of Aug 2013. I still can't figure out whether OP is a master ruseman or not. I'd like to think that he's a shitty troll and not just an idiot, but I dunno man. I just dunno.

BoostedBB6 08-14-2013 10:47 PM

Hes not a troll.....just someone who thinks its cheaper to replace a Mecedes lock than an Acura.

Last week my Porsche's brake light bulb burnt out for the 3rd time, so I went and bought a Gallardo to solve that problem!

badboy 08-14-2013 10:55 PM

if i was a thief and i saw baby stuff that vehicle is a goldmine

I do think my wife is smarter, that's how she gets what she wants. Obviously, our two baby seats in the car serve a purpose.

I guess revscene didn't really realize an MDX cost $50k + options , an RX350 cost the same, and the GLK is a $40K car.

Any way...
In all seriousness and aside from the break-ins:

Good luck and have fun with your car searching.

The new GS350 looks good.

We are pretty sure we will ask more questions about their factory alarm system or find one that doesn't have a key hole on the handle !

And yes, the GS350 with F sport looks good !

BoostedBB6 08-14-2013 11:36 PM

Well when the washer fluid runs out I will have to get another car. Its such a piece of crap, dont by a Lambo guys, it costs money to fix stuff that gets broken.

Well, you said Lexus or Merc and didn't mention the GLK... for all we know you could have been thinking, or hope that we would think, G-class or LX570.

If you mention Lexus or Mercedes in casual conversation, it's more impressive than Acura to normal people.

donjalapeno 08-14-2013 11:47 PM

How do you know the alarm didnt go off?... was your wife by the car when it was being broken into? :derp:

Maybe it did go off but then stopped.

Splinter 08-15-2013 12:01 AM

Maybe it's time for a new wife

Lomac 08-15-2013 12:24 AM

I'm sorry, but...

WHAT
THE
FUCK

Really?

:fulloffuck:

Install a better aftermarket alarm if you're worried about it being broken into. Or, better yet, replace the keyhole with a blank cover and just use the fob to lock/unlock. Any modern car with coded keys will cost a ton of money to replace, regardless of make and model. If anything, an MB or Lexus will be even more. Hell, my Accord with it's laser cut key and encoded chip costs just as much to replace as your MDX's. Same goes for the Jetta.

I genuinely hope you're just trollin' us.

skyline32 08-15-2013 12:32 AM

So just how much bad luck do you & your wife have with thieves? It's either some horrible timing or you just walked under waay too many ladders & broke one too many mirrors

i think i understand op
he believes a lexus or a mercedes will have a lower chance of a break-in.

Glk is way too small for two kids in car seats

I got a beautiful X3 for lease take over if you're interested. Guaranteed you won't be broken into. :fullofwin:

Should've bought the Acura ZDX, no-one wants to touch that vehicle! :fullofwin:

Canada may be on track for a record-breaking year of car sales, but this lot didn't help much - Mid-year sales report: Canada?s slowest selling vehicles Editor's Picks - Autos - MSN CA

In all seriousness, I think a good two way paging alarm will help.

Both time it got broken into on our drive way, it didn't go off. And this time at Brentwood, a lady saw the thief and called the cops. My wife didn't notice that her car got punched keyholes until the cop shows up at my house. Alarm didn't go off according to what the cop told us.

we called around after the first hit a year ago asking about the two way paging, but the problem with it is that we have to carry 2 huge key fobs, guess I'll look into any 2 way paging alarm that would integrate into one simple key fob now...

I totally understand what the vast majority of revscene is saying, but from my previous experience of owning european cars vs japanese cars, we just have really bad luck with the japanese cars. According to my friends who work at BCAA, punching a door on a Merc and Acura both takes 5 seconds (he even gave me a manual that they use, it listed the "how-to" pop the doors of every make and model), but the outcome is totally different. The Merc will have it's alarm set off, but the Acura won't. Also, if you were to slim jim the windonws to open the doors, it's a little tougher on the Merc. Just beacause of these marginal difference, it detour the noobs who's trying to break in.
