rear bumper respray

Hey guys,

My car got scrubbed against another car on the weekend and looks like it requires a full respray of the rear bumper. Can anyone please recommend a good body shop for this? The car is 2014 Lexus IS and color is Atomic Silver (this is a new color, not regular silver)

Please advise.

Thanks. But I just checked that thread and it seems some guy had an issue with color matching with them at first and since my color is unique and new, the color matching is quite important.

Dont want to go through insurance (I have a $500 deductible and paint job would cost around $700) . For extra $200, I dont want to raise my premium and show on carfax report etc when/if i sell this car later down the road

If you want it to look like it never happened, be sure not to cheap out. Silver is one of the hardest colors to match. Good luck

Going to go with Vieta Auto Body. They specialize in Lexus vehicles, so I figure you can't go wrong hopefully?

From what I remember, Richmond Autobody's labour rates were quite high. It's ok if it was an ICBC claim, but you might want to get an estimate first if it's out of your own pockets.

Btw it does not cost 700 to respray a bumper that is royally fucked up.

The max you would be paying for the best quality of work in vancouver is like >500

i am looking at a copy of a claims estimate from when had a new rear bumper resprayed under an icbc claim and it was $780 in the end for paint and re/re. and this was just basic non-metallic PPG black, not the fancy paint this lexus has

because lexus is a luxury car body shops charge color sand and buff time.

a bumper job does cost 600-800 dollars depending on how many r&i there is to do and you add about 0.8hr for color sand and buff.
