That front grille = predator maw.

jpark 11-04-2013 12:04 AM

wow this is so nice. Id def get this over the 4 series

v_tec 11-04-2013 12:06 AM

Mid size coupe from Lexus...

:considered:

Energy 11-04-2013 12:10 AM

If Lexus gives this car a proper engine, transmission and suspension to go with the looks then they have a winner.

SpeedStars 11-04-2013 12:18 AM

c pillar looks very accord esque

That's the first thing I said when I saw the C-pillar from the side view.

Not sure how I feel about it. I love the interior, as with all the new Lexus models, but not really feeling the exterior yet. I'm sure it will grow on me, much like the new IS has already.

donjalapeno 11-04-2013 12:20 AM

God damn….so sexy. looks like it will kill the competition.

StylinRed 11-04-2013 12:43 AM

I dont like the side profile too much or those rear fins otherwise its hot specially from the front 3/4 view

it actually does remind me of the celica like from the 3/4 view the rear wheel/trunk line (dunno what its called) and if that hood scoop version from the spy pics becomes available it will look like it even more

I like it :)

ShyGuy 11-04-2013 01:30 AM

If lexus wants to compete with BMW/Mercedes/Audi, they really do need new engines and transmissions. A turbo 6-cylinder with a dual clutch transmission would make this car very attractive.

StylinRed 11-04-2013 01:33 AM

Well the F version is suspected of having a V8

and according to worldcarfans

Quote:

At the Tokyo Motor Show there will be two versions of the RC Coupe: RC 350 and RC 300h Hybrid.
The first one will make use of a V6 3.5-liter gasoline engine while the other will be powered by a 2.5-liter engine working together with an electric motor.
Both versions are 184.8 inches (4693mm) long, 54.9 inches (1394mm) tall, 72.4 inches (1838mm) wide and come with a 107.5-inch (2730mm) wheelbase.

A range-topping RC F is already on the way taking into account Lexus has trademarked the "RC F" moniker.
Under its hood there will probably be a V8 5.0-liter engine rated at around 455 bhp (339 kW) and 543 Nm (401 lb-ft) of torque.
The car will allegedly be showcased in January at 2014 NAIAS in Detroit.
2014 Lexus RC officially revealed

was hoping for an AWD version

Too much going on; some angles the car looks pretty good but other angles it looks bad. Too bad Lexus doesn't come out with a baby LFA.

This IS pretty much their baby LFA.

cococly 11-04-2013 05:26 AM

Rear overhang is a bit too much, but overall it looks good :)

CorneringArtist 11-04-2013 05:55 AM

With the GS-F already coming down the tube, I wouldn't be surprised if there is an RC-F, which I hear has the same CF body panel technology as the LFA.

thumper 11-04-2013 07:06 AM

with the advent of this car, is there any hope for the supra to make a return?

Tr1ll 11-04-2013 01:46 PM

Would definitely pick this over the 4 series, C coupe, or the A5.

radioman 11-04-2013 01:52 PM

the separation of the DRL and the headlight is still weird.
Some of it seems over styled but overall I like it.

If this has the 250 engine it will be a waste.

EDIT: When I went to test drive and check out the new IS model I fell in love with the interior. Looks like this one is going to be great as well (looks almost the same).

T4RAWR 11-05-2013 11:17 AM

3.5L = 2gr...?

if so, i hope they tune and turbo it.

factory turbo 2gr rc350 would be a beast.

PandaDog 11-05-2013 11:31 AM

Toyota/Lexus really seem to be stepping up their game with the RC350 - wonder how the numbers will compare with the other small coupes by the competitors
