Cyberpunk 2077 Teaser Trailer
6,241,526 views 9 months ago
Welcome to the year 2077. More info: http://www.cyberpunk.net/
The teaser shows how the Psycho Squad might acquire a new member.
The Psycho Squad specializes in combating "psychos" -- individuals who overuse implants and substances that boost or otherwise alter the human body.
There comes a point when they overdose on these innovations, and their bodies start to rebel against their biological body parts as well as all things organic around them. Simply put, they start killing people, who they now derisively call "meatbags."
When a psycho goes on the rampage, strange things can happen. There's carnage, and the psycho might be taken down by regular police, but they're not always able to get the job done.
When things spin out of control, they call in MAX-TAC (Maximum Force Tactical Division), popularly called the Psycho Squad.

Just saw the gameplay demo and I must admit, it looks amazing even with some of the technical glitches. It does seem like a game that would play pretty good on VR though. Shame there's no release date

Initial reviews are out and it looks like this could have used another delay. I was going to pick it up day 1, but I'm going to wait for the first big patch instead.
Yea I’m hoping they have some sort of program built within steam etc to test the graphic requirements as well.. As I said in the build thread I think my R9 930 should be adequate but if it’s going to struggle I may wait until I buy a new console

Based on our initial testing results, it looks like the official Cyberpunk 2077 system requirements target performance of 30-40 fps.
So based on this, the recommended minimum GTX 780 or RX 470 will do 30 fps at 1080p low. R9 390 is about 10-20% faster than those cards. So you'll be stuck at minimum
Another thing to consider is that CDPR didn't let anyone test the console versions. That includes the base consoles, which are well below those minimum PC specs, and even the new consoles. So definitely wait on those results before pulling the trigger.
It looks like they bit off more than they could chew with this game, and were barely able to get it out in working condition.
Holy shit was this game really initially announced in 2013?
I had no idea and hadn't heard of it until the Xbox Series X announcement.
What's the story around this and why'd it take so long? It was like that Duke Nukem sequel that was always delayed.

Santa came through for me so I guess I'll be playing it tomorrow morning at 8am. I just hope there's a patch that's better than what the reviewers have access to
BTW the reason nobody else is posting benchmarks, and why that site had to take theirs down, is because the game is secured by heavy DRM which causes a big performance hit. So that "30-40 FPS" (and the other results) are going to be kind of bullshit. We won't know for sure until the game is out, but it shouldn't be as bad as these reports indicate.
