Quirky for sure, odd European touches here and there.
There's actually a total of 5 cupholders! one on each side in the rear, and two retracting ones placed oddly under the rear center seat cushion

I drove one back in Germany/Switzerland in 08 when Saturn was just introducing them to N.America. Boy was I impressed! the handling and steering was amazing!

Shame we only got the 1.8, as in Europe there were 4 or 5 engines to choose from, two of them were diesel

How are they for parts now? are they hard to find replacements?

Just get the M4

Unless your M3 is modded

Or maybe wait for M4 glitches to be worked out

In other words, I don't know :concentrate:

I would say my next car is probably going to end up being one of the following (in no particular order):
- e90/92 or f30 335i
- f30 328i
- f10 535i
- e46 M3

After owning the Type R for so long, it would be nice to have something more comfortable as a daily driver, with more torque and back seats that can fit normal sized adults.

One plane ride, a car rental and a 1.5hour drive later I checked it out. Gorgeous looking car, but I got scared off from the paint. It was cracklings all over, and many spots where the hood and doors were mis aligned the paint was chipping off like no ones business. Right down to the metal. Definitely not adhering properly. If a simple paint job was just in order, I think I would have had the registration in my hand right now, but I bet that's an $8000 repair. Getting the vehicle right down to bare metal and starting from the beginning. For so called $10 000 in body work and paint, something wasn't right. I offered him a price, and he wanted $1000 more then I was willing to pay. I went home. Talk about restraint!

How did he stick it to the roof like that?

Judging from the last pic, you went to Australia?

I almost bought a 1984 Buick Regal T-Type. Learned a lot about the pre-intercooled Turbo Buicks and declined.:okay:

Funny, should have used that tire glue on the paint, and it would be on a trailer to my house as we speak.

I know my fanboism may be clouding my judgement, but BMW takes the cake as far as offering cars with the most beautiful paint options right from the factory.
