Quick review of the aerotank mega.
Solid 22mm device with upgraded duel coils, providing a fantastic vapor production from a stock factory wrapped coil
Very effective air flow control, providing a coffee stir stick straw tightness, to a massive jumbo slurpee straw airyness.
Removable drip tip for customization
Overall recommendation?
For an off the shelf clearomizer, a solid 8/10

hey guys, I started vaping about 6months ago and havent had a cigarette in about 4 months. been using the itazte vv and the nautilus, but I wanna get into some more advanced stuff like mods RDA's and such. what would you all recommend that I get to start me off right that wont do major amounts of damage to my wallet, and where I should go to get a hold of these and maybe a little bit of information. thanks in advance

I believe the newer style coils wouldof worked with the aerotanks and protank 3 like stated in my previous post.

ESV isnt that cheap imo they started jacking up the prices on everything. they got good prices and deals on juice though

Yeah, i realized that they charge premium price on some of their juice organic liq and aspire coils are like $20 now at esv. I still like some of their juice they carry

I've been going down the block at vaporcity for cheaper coils $15 for 5 coils

and the new upgrade coil does work with the aerotank and PT3

@mruppal be prepare to spend quiet a bit and get a clone if you wannna save some money on RDA!

to get a decent set up, that won't break the bank, and isn't a CLONE of a clone of a clone, you're going to want to look at a few brands. But don't get me wrong, there are some clones knocked off from authentics that are also REALLY nice, but you do want to see them in person to ensure that they are decent in quality.

Smoktech makes a really decent mechanical, called the magneto. For an entry level 22mm wide mechanical mod, it has very good conductivity for firing resistances low, and has a solid switch which is magnetically opposed. It's a telescopic mod, allowing you to use all sizes of 18XXX series batteries.

Another mechanical that's also a telscopic, is the Kamry K-101. It's a spring loaded bottom fire as well, has chrome plated brass contacts for good conductivity, and has low voltage drop for a good hit. The mod comes in a variety of body colors, where the tube that has holds the atomizer is a 19mm width. While it might not make much of a difference to you, to me and to some it creates a slight awkward look when you place 22mm atty's on top of it.

For dripping atomizers, I'd stay away from MOST of the clones from fasttech. The quality that you'll find from their dripping atomizers are piss poor. The price you pay doesn't justify how crap they are. The post holes are usually smaller than small, and they might not even have the post holes line up properly. This would then give you a piss poor wrap on your coils, and it will then leave you frustrated.

There are work arounds, but it's almost worth paying a little bit more and ordering a Youde device.

Which is what I want to recommend.

If you're looking for a solid dripping atomizer, I strongly suggest the Igo W3 and Igo W5. The w3 is a 19mm wide dripper, which suits the k101 nicely, has plenty of aftermarket top caps, from air flow controlled, to clear/frosted plastic ones, to solid stainless caps....really there are a LOT. It takes a mediocre affordable dripper and turns it into a solid worth while device.

Where as the IgoW5, it's a little bit more in cost, but also has a lot of aftermarket support for top caps.

I know there are other devices out there, and are pretty affordable, but all of what I've suggested to you can be found locally, and within town.

CEV has the smoktech, the k101 and the igow3.

ESV has a good selection of quality tobeco clones, and the Igo W5 with aftermarket top caps available

If you're going to jump right into a mechanical with a dripper, expect to spend in the vicinity of 150 and up, just to get you started.
That includes

Mechanical mod,
Dripping atomizer,
2 18650 high discharge batteries
2 Bay charger

A little bit more can get you some resistance wire so you can learn the wrap techniques to allow you to customize your heat and vape experience more so.

So my setup arrived from Vancity faster than I thought. (Next day!). I thought it was fucked out of the box because I tried to "traditionally" smoke with it and was getting little to no smoke. I find out that the tank needs to be vertically downwards for it to work properly.

Looking forward to getting everything sorted out!

Vangruver, why do you recommend the W3 and W5 over the W4? Just curious, since that's what I'm using. I just opened up the holes a bit.

I broke my regular aerotank glass a month ago and am waiting for my replacement.

You could just use the metal tank until you can find a website or store that carries a spare parts tank.

Okay so I just picked up my package. I'm sampling them as I sit in my car at Trader Joe's lol. The Thug Juice is so-so, I don't think I'm gonna use it regularly. The Hawk Sauce is a little more bareable but still not 100% fan of it haha. I got them in 30ml bottles too fml. At least they were cheap hehe.

axxess 06-11-2014 08:58 PM

Hey guys, my brother got me this Penske starter kit awhile back and I've really enjoyed peach flavour. I'm not getting as much smoke out of the vape as other people. Whats the secret? Should i upgrade the top part of the vape? Or should i just buy a new one?

sorry, still kinda a vape noob

Anywhere specific I should buy my vape products?
