locally i only know vancity vapor sells them, 3ml 18ga needle, which is too narrow to use on straight VG. Diaso also sells 10ml n 30ml 18ga ones in the cosmetic section hugh up on a pillar, but again being 18ga its too narrow

as for ordering online, all ebay seller says they dont ship to canada...

I usually clean out the atomizer if I put in a new flavor

Ah damn eh. I'll go back to the pharmacy and see if they have needles bigger than 18ga.

TOPEC 04-14-2014 03:40 AM

these r the ones i bought

https://www.vaporgeek.com/shop/index...&product_id=91

the site is local but online mail order only, n mine r 5ml not 3ml but r still 18ga, i think if the needles were 12 or 14ga would work best

z3german 04-14-2014 09:19 AM

Hey TOPEC you seem to be master vaper guru. Would you recommend using a rebuild able tank on an SVD? Looking online everyone seems to be using mechanical, but I was thinking of building coils that are the lowest resistance my SVD can handle.

What are the disadvantages of a lower resistance coil? Less lifespan? Im guessing the advantages is being able to make huge clouds.

If you dont see a problem with it any recommendations on a rebuild able? I want something solid, reliable, and pretty.

Arirang 04-14-2014 12:53 PM

Rebuildable tanks are definitely the way to go! If you're planning to go subohm it'd be best to get a mechanical. The highest amp draw the SVD can handle is 5amps.

So say you have a fresh battery which would be 4.2v, the lowest resistance you would be able to get is .9 ohms. Besides making more clouds, you'd get more flavour and a warmer vape.

If you're looking into a rebuildable without breaking the bank, try looking for clones online. I know nhan got a kayfun lite from ehpro on ebay for about 35? Another great source is 7568 Electronic Cigarettes at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

!Nhan 04-14-2014 01:02 PM

i fucking love my ehpro kayfun lite + clone. it's fucking awesome.

that is all

TOPEC 04-14-2014 01:11 PM

no i am no where close to a guru, im just passing on info that i learned online n from my various trials n errors. i have not gone into mechs yet as i love my aero too much n dont have time to build coils

oh n beware of fasttech, apparently it takes them 4+ weeks to ship anything

Klobbersaurus 04-14-2014 02:18 PM

usually if there is a battery involved, shipping will take approx 4 weeks from fasttech, if there isnt a battery, its usually 2 weeks,

just built my rda (.4ohm), vamo wouldnt work with it so now i gotta get another mechanical

!Nhan 04-14-2014 02:36 PM

building subohm sounds...dangerous... lol

Subohming is dangerous. You have to make sure that your battery can handle the amperage draw of your builds. I only use MNKE and Sony VTC3/4 batteries in my mechs. For custard and savory flavors I build my rda/rba's to around 0.25-0.40 ohms while for the fruit flavors they are around 0.50-0.80. These are just my preferences as it gives me that wonderful vape and brings out the flavors in the juices I have.

heres a list of batteries n their draw limit, seems like the sony vtc4, and the newer vtc5, is superior in both amps n mha.

personally i use a sony vtc4 n 2 aw in my vtr, i think im gonna switch them out for vtc5 if i find a good price

MVP is super easy and very portable

svd+tank of choice is good too, but regardless of what you choose I would get a variable wattage/voltage one, get to tinker around.

I had a ego T, which is a starter for many but I would sway away from it. Much better options for a few bucks more. Go check out east side vapes on kingsway, they seem to be pretty knowledgeable and its a cool little store, lots of enthusiasts there and they have starter kits too with better hardware.

Check out the Halo G6.

fliptuner 04-19-2014 01:35 PM

I think you should check out the differences between a starter kit and a mech/tank/drip setup.

If you're going to end up upgrading anyways, might as well save the expense of a starter kit that you might not be too enthused about after a month. Not that there's anything wrong with starter kits (some people prefer them) but more often than not, most guys end up switching over.

z3german 04-19-2014 04:03 PM

Just picked up a Nautilus tank, oh boy this is turning out to be an expensive hobby, so much for saving money from smoking haha. (Long term gains yo)

What a huge fucking difference between the aerotank and this! Vaping @ 1.6ohms 5.1Volt, adam bomb mama's cookies. DAMN it tastes like cookies its so awesome.

Why would anyone want to get the aerotank when this is like 5-7 bucks more. Gonna keep my aero for fruity flavours i guess.

Anyone have experience changing flavours, like from cookies to a fruit or something? If you use the same atomizer is the flavor NEVER pure? Or does it turn pure after you vape the left over out. Im cleaning the tank, but not the atomizer btw.
