how do you take hits off of your vape? is it from mouth to lung or just right into the lungs?

Both, depending on how I feel. Probably 80% straight to lung. I suspect that's what most people will say too

everything is straight to lung as i use a goblin on the daily and a drip at home. i tried doing mouth to lung but i don't even know how to do that on my vape anymore lol

Yes. I follow the clone recipe on reddit, some of them are super close to the original. For example I made 300+ml of Bombies 'nana Cream and it's really legit. The raw cost is approximately $6 for 30ml, versus buying the original is $25 for 30ml. The savings are almost always 75%.

what steeping techniques do you use (if any)?

I never realized how big of a difference steeping makes until I did it :ahwow:

Make multiple 30ml bottles at a time. Put them all in a dark drawer and shake the bottle daily. I'll open the first bottles and it won't taste good, but after a week when I move on to the second bottle, it'll be good to go. One week is generally enough for most flavour to come out.

can't seem to get replacement coils from FastTech anymore. Can't use paypal to pay for it nor can I purchase any gift certificates. This blow.. site for cheap coils

Yeah, I used to leave them in my car's glove compartment, and the heat speeds it up quite a bit too.

I recently bought an Ultrasonic Cleaner and now I get pretty much full flavor after an hour or so of steeping in this thing :ahwow: And yes, I feel like a complete geek every time I do it haha.

3klipze 07-16-2015 09:39 PM

Yeah, I bought it off my uncle who used to own a jewelry store. It's like some industrial quality one that's worth $500 or something, and I paid $200 for it. (which has already sort of paid itself off, considering I make around 5 bottles of 30ml juice a week at $2-$6 a bottle as opposed to buying them at $20+ each)

It's not really that necessary if you make a lot of bottles at once, because you can just let them steep naturally, and once those are done you can set aside a different batch to steep. It is, however quite convenient because if a flavor isn't quite right, you can immediately tweak it and throw it back in, and in 20 minutes it's done. (Or if you're just impatient like me)

If you're looking to get one, I'd suggest one that both heats and vibrates.

Anyone here have the Kangertech Subox Mini? I ordered one, but been reading more reviews lately saying they're not that great and the tanks are constantly leaking.

my friend has one for about 2 weeks now. he hasn't had any complaints about it

^ Thanks Nhan, that's very reassuring. Upgrading from a Innokin + Nautilus Mini.

First, it starts to incorrectly read the ohms on my SubTank and when in VW mode, results in it sometimes jacking up the voltage which is quite dangerous. I figured this out and then just stuck with VV mode. Fast forward 2-3 weeks later, it starts showing "no atomizer" and at first just rinsing the SubTank out would do the trick (cleaning up the connections) but now it's just totally KO'd.

Anyone wanna ring in on this issue? TIA

So it wasn't an iStick problem but in fact was a problem with the SubTank Mini. Something was weird with the connection and so I picked up an Atlantis 2. Don't know how I feel about this giant ass drip tip though...It's kind of awkward

hi-revs 07-18-2015 10:17 PM

i've been running the istick 30w with Kanger subtank mini for 2 months or so now with no issues whatsoever. Only leaks when i accidently overfill.

Give the new Joytech evic vt a look. Just came out... 60watts, and 5000 mah (!!!), with temp control

Costs about the same as the isticks and kangers, but it's just all around better specs and features. I might grab this as a secondary unit when I don't feel like carrying my big ass sigelei around.

3klipze 07-19-2015 10:11 AM

^I'll check that out. Thanks!.

quick question from a guy who stopped vaping and just got back in. What is the whole point of TC feature? control the temperature of your vape?

I saw a lot of people suggesting the Sigelei 75W instead of the subox mini but that's a little pricier and it isn't available everywhere yet.

PJ 07-19-2015 11:42 AM

TC took me a while to understand too, and though it's really not a necessity, it's definitely a nice feature to have.

"Apparently" with TC, in a way, it's eliminated dry hits, because there are temperature ranges that won't burn your cotton as much as your coil normally would if you're firing full power.

And the main advantage is... let's say you have a build that fires at 80w for optimal performance, but your rda gets too hot. You can lower the temp with TC and still maintain that performance with the same wattage (otherwise if you just lower your wattage on a high-output build, then you lose performance altogether). And on the flip side, if you wanna vape at a low wattage for less output but want your vapor warmer, you can set your TC up. (The latter is what appeals to me the most. There are times when I want to have a nice warm vape when I'm sitting outside, but I don't wanna look like some obnoxious prick blowing out 6 ft clouds.)

Again, it's not really a necessity, but it does add a whole new dimension to the way people vape. And its market price isn't much different from the non-TC devices like the subboxes and isticks. (though I'm sure eleaf and Kangertech are going to be coming out with something with TC before you can even blink).

Might pop by Get Vaped today and pick up the eVic.

don't forget you're using either nickel or titanium wires rather than kanthal

CorneringArtist 07-19-2015 03:36 PM

Can anyone recommend a tank that uses coils that won't brown my juice in a week and a half? Getting sick of Kangers getting gunked up so frequently that my juice starts tasting like crap.

!Nhan 07-19-2015 04:51 PM

i think it depends on what type of juice you're vaping. from my experience clear juices are less likely to gunk my coils vs darker juices

I use Hawk Sauce, Arnold Palmer, and a mango flavored one from a shop in Surrey. But all three gunk in a week or two at the most. It could be the juice sure, but it's still weird that it's getting dark IN the tank at the same time.
