If you carefully read the invoice's terms and conditions in one of the photos, it's likely they had to pay up or else the shop would have seized the vehicle after 30 days for non-payment. So rather than let the shop take it all and come out with nothing, my assumption at this point is the owner replaced the motor just to get it out of the shop in working condition as a big "fuck you" to the shop, and recuperate the cost of the engine swap with a $500 loss.

That turbo is only good for 500hp plus everything looks and claims to be new anyways so what difference would it make?

What does it mean when ppl say a Turbo is good for 500? Can't you have that turbo on a LS already making 500 NA and the same turbo on a K series? Seems to be it has to work a hella lot harder in the K?
