Great point.
I think VMR Canada is useful in gauging value for commuter cars only.
Last year I sold a car that had a bit of a 'unicorn' status. VMR says retail is $5k. I sold it for $14k lol.

Yes. And also yea... the IS250s are slow AF, and overall overpriced in the market. A few years ago, similarly mileaged IS350 were the same price as IS250s.

68style 05-05-2020 10:44 AM

Cuz the CLS is an ugly car styling wise, AWD and way more common :)

trollface 05-05-2020 11:55 AM

You mean this picture? That's the strut that holds up the tailgate.

trollface 05-05-2020 12:23 PM

No look through the ad. Is that just some super heavy duty cargo thing?

tegra7 05-05-2020 12:34 PM

I know nothing about these cars.

I'm guessing a cargo divider to keep your stuff from piling up at the back when you punch it and then falling out when you open the hatch?

Think this is the bar thing he is referring to. Confuses me too, some kind of handicap assist thing?

I feel like that bar is the kind of 'quirk' and/or 'feature' that Doug Demuro would spend 3 minutes on in his video.

The bar is a cargo divider, you can slide it in and out within the trunk so items don't fall out.

I gotta disagree. The past generation CLS' are quite handsome. The newest generation, not so much. Especially with the NA bumper humps that poke out the back.

I think I'm the odd guy that actually likes the 4 door coupe body styles.

I am the third Canadian owner. The first completed the restoration then traded in to Weissach for a 993TT in 2006, the second owner drove it sparingly for 7 years, and I have owned this since putting on over 27k miles. All maintenance is up to date and I have all service records and invoices from my ownership along with a file folder from the previous two owners of pictures of the restoration work and subsequent maintenance and upgrades.

I have a comprehensive Excel spreadsheet detailing every gas fill-up, maintenance service, and upgraded component during my tenure. I can assist with US importation and/or international shipping if necessary.

Do people really log each time they fill gas..?

trollface 05-06-2020 11:11 AM

Yes, crazy ppl.

The log proves:

1) The owner can use excel
2) The car, in fact, uses gasoline.

Fantastic
