Correct, and tourings were until 94.
On the topic of rust, valcas garage makes OEM quality patch panels for every part on these cars now. It’s lots of work, no doubt, but if it’s a forever car, it’s worth it, if it’s a “Ill drive it for a few years car,” hop in and drive it, you won’t lose much even if the cars basically scrap when you’re done.

$7,800 is a pretty good price for a MK1 Audi TT with reasonably low km (132km) in the right spec (AWD/225hp/6MT). I'd ditch the aftermarket wheels and put on a set of Audi fat 5's. Decent examples of the TT are getting harder to find. Seller says they bought it in November, I would assume from Trustauto, not sure how shady that dealership is?

Might as well put it out there, not like this thread is really a good buy CL thread.

Pretty rare, much hyped, anticipated RS6 Avant, $160K. You will turn heads!

There is one for $150K, $10K cheaper!

Everything over msrp.

worth it to just wait.

whitev70r 02-02-2021 02:41 PM

^ yup ... hype=overpriced ... like GME ... haha. I can (and so can you) probably think of at least 10 cars in that price range that I'd buy before this if I had the $$$.

Definitely worth waiting not only for price but to see if there are any major glitches or bugs in this new generation release, let somebody else be the guinea pig, let somebody else take the depreciation.

other than nerds the RS6 won't turn heads. To most it's just an Audi wagon.

Not saying that I don't love it but it's not gonna turn heads comparing to an i8 for example.

Not Craigslist, but this seems like a pretty good price, especially from a dealer. 2016 Focus RS with 36k for $39k

Spoiler!
Grey on Brown Wagon....mmmmmm :sweetjesus:

donjalapeno 02-02-2021 10:42 PM

Speaking of Audi wagons heres one i think is a good deal. Not sure about the reliability/maintenance of these things but seems like its a lot of car for $7,900. Resonator delete and you basically have yourself a RS6

Needs minor bodywork.

JDMDreams 02-02-2021 11:41 PM

^ also a lot of maintenance for $7900

whitev70r 02-03-2021 06:51 AM

^ I understand that 3.2L engine to be a stay away, nightmare one.

That and you are pretty far from an RS6 with that setup. Not even in the same area code.

e9x gen dash looks so dated without the idrive screen.

Personally prefer no iDrive screen to ruin the lines and block the view :accepted:

Spectre_Cdn 02-03-2021 02:48 PM

You also wouldn’t need to see dated infotainment and you get the option to run an aftermarket deck with CarPlay.

Qmx323 02-03-2021 04:12 PM

A quarter of the roads in Richmond central core probably didn't even exist before 2008 lol

That M3 is perfect Richmond spec... white with red interior

The dash with iDrive looks just as dated, and imo worse with the bulbous hood/shroud thing.

It's like a 570S vs a GT4. Same price range. One gets chicks and the other gets dicks.

RS6 gets you dicked.... down in maintenance costs huehuehue

westopher 02-03-2021 08:47 PM

A 570s is almost double a gt4.
