Lots of dust in engine bay, rear seats (on the seat them selves so you can tell it hasnt been sat in). Front end of the car is pepper with rock chips, and the rocket panels as well, small scrape in the front bumper, and rear bumper. 1 declaration for a minor collision rear passenger quarter panel with a $3xxx repair cost in 2006. It does not have the adaptive cruise option, nor the air suspension (this might actually be a good thing, as coil suspension is cheaper to replace if something breaks). all power windows/doors, seats etc seems to work. Hydraulic struts in the trunk needs to be replaced, as it is quite weak. Owner said he is open to offers......i'm not sure what is a fair amount to offer the guy, trying to look at Autotrader for comparables, and its all over the map (example...this guy is asking for $25K...albeit a much nicer color https://www.autotrader.ca/a/lexus/ls...=6_6_6&sprx=-1 ) What do you guys think of an offer for $9000 pending a Pre-Purchase Inspection? Now on a whole other direction....if I just want a reliable daily.... https://www.autotrader.ca/a/subaru/l..._11_11&sprx=-1 this seems to be a really good buy based on KMs.....pain in the butt to get the car back to Calgary though...especially right now |

^ Seems like a normal price for one with original paint. That 'flat black' paint is not doing that car any favours. |
Not getting a decent 996 for 25k anymore. 30k maybe. That said that paint should be a discount of how ever much a full paint job costs. |
pretty good maintenance list, but that is some horrible taste all that probably fake techart shit looks gross enough, especially w the paint 996 market is hot. my buddy PPI'd a car, then got ghosted by the dude. Second car he looked at, was on the way to the guy w a draft and the seller called saying he was getting higher offers he had to match. both of these were 30k+ driver quality .1's |

deal's a deal |
That's super lame, I was selling a Lexus once and settled on $7,000 with a buyer picking it up the next day, another guy came along while the ad was still up and offered me my full ask $7,500 and I just said sorry man already sold... deal is a deal. Didn't even think of calling the first buyer and telling him he had to come up with more cash. |
Some decent cars here: https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds...304365808.html Nice colour I30 and price is fair $2450 https://images.craigslist.org/00Z0Z_...tC_600x450.jpg https://vancouver.craigslist.org/bnc...314997472.html Cleannnnn 940 Turbo with a unique interior! $5900 https://images.craigslist.org/00j0j_...ik_600x450.jpg https://vancouver.craigslist.org/van...316294983.html This guy is obviously flipping this score he found, but worth a click just to check out a basically brand new 1996 car... impressively clean and the price, while high, isn't even horrible for what it is $8,500 https://images.craigslist.org/00d0d_...t2_600x450.jpg |

^ In what universe would that happen, that an interested buyer gets his/her PPI $$ back? You mean the garage/shop would do that out of the kindness of their heart? |

That said I don't consider a car sold until I have the money. No holds, no deposits, no coming back tomorrow. They can run to the bank to get money but nothing longer than that. I'm not turning someone else away just so buddy can change his mind overnight. |

The best sales experience I had was with some guy on BC Bimmers who had an E46 ZHP for sale. I made a reasonable offer ($500 off asking) with a deposit in hand, and pending PPI report not exceed beyond $2500 in major/critical repairs. Seller wouldn't budge and said to me he'd make more money from ICBC by getting into an accident and writing the car off and that he was getting higher offers (I was thinking why even entertain showing me the car?) Any how, he literally got into an accident the week later and got nothing for it. haha |
it's not my place to name names, I'm just getting the info second hand. He did eventually hear from the first guy again, I'm not sure how they parted ways re: ppi money spent. i know who the first seller is, and have added him to my personal do not do business rolodex. second guy - well, it's just bad karma to pull that shit. my friend is looking at a 3rd car that's not currently publicly advertised. hopefully it will be a more professional transaction. it's that time of year - sellers have spent the whole winter watching BAT auctions and have dollar signs in their eyes now. Same cars will still be on the market in 3 months for too much money. |

I had a case where a customer had several complains about the car and wanted me to fix a bunch of them. No deposit left. 2 hours later another guy comes in and buys it on the spot. She phones me a day later asking me if i fixed all the things on the car. After i told her the car is gone she goes " Why did you do that ?? I never said i didnt want it ! " |

^ what don't you understand about being 'ghosted' by the seller? You quoted Producer's story of his buddy ...follow the logic bro. You know what ghosted means? |
Bro |
Now is it an asshole move to not refund a deposit, when it was given in consideration to hold the item for that person until x day. I've never had someone back out of a non-refundable deposit, which I clearly state the terms and conditions of recieving said deposit (Offer $X, consideration "do ___"). But just curious, would it be the asshole move. Sent from my SM-G781W using Tapatalk |

Potential buyer PAYS for ppi. Seller ghosts potential buyer after money is spent No, no one is asking for money back from the shop that did the ppi.... I’m pretty sure everyone is saying that the seller should reimburse the potential buyer that he ghosted the money spent on the ppi for just bailing out |
