holy crap. i spent at most around $200 for scheduled maintenance on my mustang this year... $2500 is very sobering to my fragile bank account :o |
All subjective to the previous owner(s) maintenance upkeep, ive had mine for 2 years now. Ive spent 100 on a oil change during both years. So far thats 200 in maintanence and 1000+ in mods. A brake job will probably be my next big-ish item , parts will depend on what brand you go with but for fronts and rears including rotors , pads and sensors will be about 325-500usd in parts. My car was owned by a guy who was a car fanatic (owned 10 cars and his own shop) , he gave anything and everything it needed before handing it off to me. Pretty grateful for that. |
93 Mazda RX-7 20B 3 Rotor In my opinion, for what it is. This seems to be an extremely good buy if looking for a toy/race car. *assuming the blown tranny is the only issue.* |

20k is pretty much the value of the swap and motor alone. |

Heh I'm trying to sell my G8 so I can A) Lose the car payment (interest balloons the payment while depreciation deflates the value) B) Replace it with something older for ease of work and 'lesser' build quality increases fun factor for me ***C) Career change is the main reason but reasons A & B are still applicable since it creates a win win for me |
1993 honda prelude needs engine 93 prelude for $400, needs a new motor. Could have a decent winter ride with a motor swap for $1000 |
Dont really think that'd be worth it. Considering its a US import, that car would probably fetch 2k realistically at most |
repost? not sure but if yes oops sorry? 1996 Acura Integra type R replica not sure what it is. obviously not a type r but is it a b18b1 or c1 i dunno. looks decent in the pics with no torn or cracked leather... possible good buy? |
2007 Honda Ruckus Modded Not a car, but damn... this is hot, and I like it a lot! http://images.craigslist.org/00u0u_g...sk_600x450.jpg |

If a person wants to put out $7k for an Integra; they should look for a perfect GSR or up their budget a bit and look for a Type-R. |

^ Precisely. The 912 was the poor man's Porsche anyways back then. From a distance it looks like you're driving a 911, until you show off your 90 hp 4-cyl engine. If you desperately want to drive an old Porsche I suppose you could go for it, but I'd sooner spend more money on a newer 911. 20k for a rustbucket quasi-Porsche is not worth it. That said, the appeal of bringing that green one back to life that's been sitting since 1976 is strong. |
