CLEAN!!! ACURA TYPE R DC2

I have been looking for a long time for a clean and mint type r and checked this out last night. It is by far the cleanest I've looked at! I just spent over 12k on my house (renos) and It couldn't be worse timing for me. I'm sure it wont last long as he had three people looking at it last night alone.
All top of the line parts and the car runs amazing. I brought my friend who is an acura mechanic and he was very impressed with it.

Someone jump on this!

I think $17k is a pretty high price, but that's just me.

It is.

Can this car be saved?

Can't tell from photos alone but at that price, there's probably more rust then we can't see.

Still.....I think this car should be saved

1986 Buick GRAND NATIONAL ttype for $4,950 in VICTORIA | autoTRADER.ca

EDIT: Hot air GN but if the motor is tired, then might as well swap in 87 GN parts

WOW. Are most Honda's like that? While obviously not comparable to the ITR, i had an '07 Si, was told the same thing and in my 8 months of ownership never burned a measurable drop. :concentrate:

SpeedStars 12-12-2014 09:17 PM

^I use up about a quart in 4-5k kms which is pretty low for most preludes. I've also been told that almost all the FRM cylinder walled engines that Honda made burn oil after 180-200k kms and I've also heard of Acuras/Si's burning oil off the lot

No. Honda DOHCs burn more than their SOHC sisters, and the c5 is the worst of the lot, for a series of reasons..

Takes some serious fatass to crush the seat like that in such a short period of time.

$17k lol
That car was up for sale last year in surrey for I believe $10k. Someone bought it, detailed it and relisted for $13k a few weeks later. Seems like this is a 3rd person selling it now. To me this is way too much for an ITR approaching 200k km.
The was a mint mint Usdm front with 150k listed for $14k in Victoria recently.

I've looked at quite a few type rs searching for a clean one and I really wish I could jump on this. 17k is with everything and I'm sure that one for 14k didn't have basically brand new high end parts with receipts. The guy is older too and it shows he really takes care of it. Not some young kid kicking the shit out of it.
Say what you want but this is the cleanest one I've seen in a long time. Definitely worth the price imo

Just looked back at it. Victoria was a 2 owner car, 100% stock with JDM steering wheel, 2001 with red interior.

I haven't seen either in person, but buying a $10,000 car and putting $7000 in maintenance, repairs and aftermarket parts doesn't make it a $17,000 car.

The $13,000 stock asking price isn't out of this world, but $17k for a couple extras is.

Nwp4life Facebook FS page. Still on there, didn't see it posted anywhere else which is why it probably hasn't sold yet. Link on my computer

IMHO that is a much better buy at 14.5, will hold its value a lot better being a 2001 usdm front with red interior, vs. an itr about to hit 200k
