Such a beautiful car. It's a real shame anything super cool for some reason always has an Achilles heel.

^ it's not really a discount if the original price didn't reflect market value. I love his 4-5 years assessment, what reason would he have to lie?!?

If this doesn't need too much work to get running (unlikely, but possible) it would be an absolute tank! Beautiful retro colour and interior looks super clean too.

A 2003 M3 convertible for $6500

This is a real add so quit being a jerk and let me sell my car!!

2003 BMW E46 M3 $6500 obo
All it needs is a rear differential

The good:
- The car is currently registered but I’m selling it for parts or whole.
- manual 6 spd
- It has no rust or body damage
- Brand new convertible top and motors.
- Low mileage Engine and transmission with 80,000 km on it
- Engine runs super smooth and sounds amazing.
- $10,000 USD Full Meisterchaft titanium exhaust system from header all the way to the back it can fit both coupe or convertible models.
These cars are future collectables and we will all be kicking ourselves one day when they skyrocket suddenly.
I don’t have the time or space but this can be turned into a daily driver by simply installing a rear differential or rebuilding this one for approximately $1500
- upgraded LED taillights not pictured
- Brand new brakes and Brembo rotors
- Full halo headlights
- Comes with extra set of M3 seats in gray
The bad:
- seats are black and the rest of the interior is gray
-The rear differential is blown I will need a rebuild or a used one installed
-The paint is not so great
$6500 obo
Seven seven eight - 991- 8851

I'll bite and post the pic of the S4 timing chain, here it is in all of its glory.

Hey JDMdreams,
In their endless wisdom the Audi engineers decided that because it was a chain and would last "forever" it would be cool to put the timing chain on the rear of the engine. The issue is that the chain lasts forever but the plastic guides wear out and the chain gets loose. That huge engine in the small A4 chassis means zero room to work on it so it's an engine out job. It's about $8K-$10K for a timing chain service. That $7.8K Audi S4 can very quickly become a $17.8K S4. Never mind the cost to replace a bunch of other parts while the engine is out and it's easy to get at them.

I’d totally be going over with cash to grab this if I had the room 😭
You can get a used diff for cheap.
I had this exhaust on my e46 m3 and it does sound amazing.

Dealing with old audis for over 8 yrs now, ive seen enough v8 s4's with timing chain ticks and fails as early as 110k kms, these are ticking time bombs as soon as it reaches 6 digit mileage. It's not even a preventative maintenance at this point, its a MUST be done criteria as soon as it reaches 100k

Anyone get a hold of that M3 cab? Just beware that the caller id on that number says "Robbery" in Chinese. I messaged and called, no reply.

I texted them, they seemed very nice tbh... I asked if it was available and said sorry they were having a hard time on CL... they wrote back and said that a deal was pending and that they had just updated the ad to reflect that and would let me know if it fell through.

I drove a c43 wagon a few years back, LHD too. Still kinda regret not buying it but seller wouldn't budge on the price at that time. It was more expensive than newer and more powerful e55s. Plus I didn't have that much to throw around back then

This is a really beautiful looking car... but he's dreaming at that price... I was recently dealing with a very nice fellow who was selling an excellent condition LHD C32 AMG that had just a few little issues on it and he had quite a struggle priced at $10k and sold for less than that.

Someone is going to have to be CRAZY about wagons to bite this being RHD and that price... and I can only assume it has other typical C32 issues on it since he hasn't mentioned fixing any of them.

I'm not saying whether the C32 AMG wagon is a good buy or not -- I don't know these cars well enough, although my family had a W203 sedan for almost 14 years. But if someone were looking at W203 C32 AMG, wouldn't this C55 AMG be a lot more bada$$ for a similar amount of money ($16k)?

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/van...391130352.html

I am absolutely not vouching for either car. This C55 seems to have quite a bit of maintenance put into it, and that could be a good or a bad thing -- the owner putting in the maintenance effort to keep it running, or that the car is a pos with an endless number of issues.

C32 is cool because it's supercharged... really reliable drivetrain once you fix a couple of the issues namely the radiator leaking into the transmission and supercharger pulley bearing... it has other niggles like the seat motors circuit boards tend to go out and it has sticky knob syndrome (the soft touch rubbery plastics over time start melting)... it's an older German car at the end of the day.

However, they can make HUGE power with pulley upgrade and intake/exhaust/header stuff. Real sleeper in my opinion.

C55 is also really reliable drivetrain wise... a lot of motor mount issues and typical electrical gremlins... apparently the wheels crack on them? That's a bit scary... this one is pretty high mileage and priced at the top of the market for the mileage. These cars are unique because they have the CLK frontend bolted onto the regular C-Class chassis... gives it a very unique profile.

C32 is cheaper for a reason, I think the V6 can be made just as fast as the C55... but I think at the end of the day I would probably go for that V8 rumble. I joined some C55 groupss on Facebook and I've seen some guys turn their cars into C55K's bringing a supercharger over from the CLK or S55. Some cool stuff out there for sure... and a total sleeper like the C32... little less subtle.

I've noticed C55 prices are rising rather quickly after bottoming out............ C32 prices don't seem to be following suit.

Had a taxi driver tell me the radio in his 2018 Sienna died after a year and wanted it replaced under warranty. He didn't tell me it had 400,000 km on it until I saw the odometer.
