wow is this a surrey crackhouse?

aside from looking out for used needles and drug paraphernalia i would take a hard look at the VIN number and then the timing belt and head gaskets...

If you have the patience to deal with 64hp/100tq on a 3500lb car, you'll never need to buy another car the rest of your life.

Looks like a clean car, I'm pretty sure Cosworth 190's were pretty rare over here. Much more common in Europe. Seems a little pricey when compared to what normal 190s go for, but this is pretty rare.

Looks like lots of decent work done recently ie clutch and cooling system. Stereo would be an easy fix, sunroof might be a PITA, and especially the central locking, if it's the Benz hydraulic system; finding leaks in the lines is a nightmare. Plus paint issues.

Just sayin, would be a sweet car to have, but definitely would a couple grand on top to get back to restored condition.

tofu1413 01-14-2015 10:54 AM

Black on black cossie :sweetjesus:

Yea this is a good price especially given the mileage (assuming head gasket is fine, no issues with cooling, and subframe mounts not torn)

I just don't trust that $tealer$hip. That and the previous name it use to be.
Last time I was there, the salesman straight up told me the S2000 had no history and you can clearly see the sanding marks over the bondo in the rear quarters and the car was resprayed over the black gaskets on the front lip. :suspicious:

thumper 01-14-2015 12:43 PM
