^i heard that from a bunch of porsche nerds. kept going on about how it lasts forever but they only do like 1-2000km a year. with those mileage of course it lasts forever. steel rotors would last forever too. nice justification needing CC brakes when you just drive in richmond. |
Gotta stop fast in Richmond. |
Not if your name is BIC_BAWS :troll: |
I've had the same rotors on my car for 140k |
This thread went from blowjobs to anal with topless girls in topless cars to find Trollface a car... ...either way, I'm shooting blanks... https://images.craigslist.org/00000_...I_1200x900.jpg https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds...547305830.html How about a Deville CONCOURS with the studs fixed? This should make for a properly reliable Northstar. Just ask for an invoice! Also, the Concours means its gets the 300hp Northstar, rather than the 275hp version in the base. Also it gets a sportier suspension and fog lights Deville Base = Cadillac SLS Deville Concours = Cadillac STS It's a full sized sleeper! |
So this was the predecessor to the STS huh? that's interesting. Why did they spend the money to develop this bullshit northstar engine when they had a perfectly good LS to throw in? (all their V models ended up with the LS right? or at least the CTS V got it, i dont know about the STS V) the northstar wasnt even an efficient engine and it was plagued with problems. I remember that corvette based XLR had the northstar instead of the LS and it was a shitshow of problems |
That car and engine were on that wizard mechanic guys YouTube channel weren’t they? I think…. He was saying that was literally the only problem with that engine… a serious problem mind your but once fixed they’re gold. |
This is the kit they used Northstar Performance - SureGrip Cylinder Head Stud Kits |
ive always had a soft spot for Cadillac. They used to be the "standard of the world" and competed with Rolls and Bentley. I leased one in 2004 and its the car i met my wife in. I dont think there was any chinese guys who bought cadillacs and i recall when i walked in the DUECK GM on lougheed, they didnt know what to do with me. My parents had to cosign at the time and it wasnt exactly a cheap car (~40k) but it was cheaper than the ES 350 that i was cross shopping with. https://i.postimg.cc/CxRK7ktM/DSC00527.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/CKDxTYSW/DSC04543.jpg |
Likewise for me. I've had a soft spot for Cadillac because of their racing program and I began to appreciate the CTS and the CTS-V. The Matrix added the extra touch of cool to it. Still haven't pulled the trigger on one seeing as the prices for them went through the roof. |
really? i remember seeing a CTS-V (the same generation as my old one) being sold for 15k. but it was kinda ratbaggy interior. The leather seats in that CTS was amazing! super plush, super soft, and the heated seats were so strong, it can literally burn ass. I remember made my ex girlfriend used to get super horny after sitting in those heated thrones. https://i.postimg.cc/NMcfQV0L/DSC00543.jpg |
They're often hard to come by, especially the manual transmission and one that isn't rat bagged. I don't think I'd want to pay $15K for a Surrey ratbagged exampled that has no maintenance history. |
sweet baby jesus LHD kei truck of 50 years https://images.craigslist.org/00M0M_...P_1200x900.jpg https://vancouver.craigslist.org/nvn...551564489.html |
What's the fascination with these things and why would you want one besides having a deathwish? |
kei cars are hilarious. autozam az1 w/ gullwing doors is the pinnacle of kei |
This little truck is a great buy... not only is it underpriced (in my opinion) even for a RHD example let alone LHD, but since it's a 1972, you could engine swap it and still obtain collector plates if you wanted (pre-1974 can get modifed collector plates)... I wouldn't suggest anything with crazy power, I doubt the chassis could handle it, but certainly a 100-140hp small engine of some sort would make this extremely entertaining to drive. |
oh man. swap in a 13B Rotary into that... :megusta: |
^ That is my friends truck! The 2 stroke engine sounds so good LOL. He uses it to haul vintage Honda 2 stroke scooters to our meetups. It's so awesome, and super cool how it's LHD. |
yep - the homie K.M. this truck is sweet. Would look awesome w a vintage looking livery/sign painting for my store on the side. Too bad I don't have a covered spot at work for it. I think it would rot pretty quick outside. |

lhd kei trucks were everywhere in taiwan, you'd borrow your uncle's after his work day to learn manual to see a one native to canada in that condition from the 70s in the most underpowered spec (a 360cc north american car) gives me a shit eating grin..hope someone has a garage for it |
Are these things all the same size? I couldn’t even get my knees in one a friend had. I’m tall but not a monster. |
I test drove a kei car a few weeks back and I fit fine, JDM is usually narrow but tall. They package their cars much better than the rest of the world. |
I used to own an 82 Mitsubishi minicab. Very similar in a sense, air cooled 2 cylinder that would struggle to get up to its 90kmh max. If you plan to keep it stock, buy something newer. It’s better in every single aspect Spoiler! |
