Lotus 7 replica. Not running has a Toyota 4age for power. $3000.

tofu1413 09-28-2023 02:42 PM

Sold quickly. looked like a sweet deal for winter project.

hud 91gt 09-29-2023 08:45 PM

That was a sketchy buy, I was eying it when posted. Would be tough to get registered but fun little track toy.

68style 09-30-2023 08:18 AM

Spotted this gutted Festiva looks to be in fairly good kit for $1,200!

Man is still probably something crazy like 8.5% financing like the bz4x:pokerface:

68style 09-30-2023 02:46 PM

Don’t count on it that Toyota dealership advertises msrp on cars like this or supra and then guys go there and they force a trade in or finance or $k extra that dealership is shady as shit

whitev70r 10-06-2023 08:24 PM

Spektrum tax is still pretty high, wouldn't say it is a good buy, more like a rare offering. High mileage (144K kms) 2018 Golf R Viper Green, manual, on the island, Duncan. $42K

Whoa. How do you just happen to have an SHO motor lying around? What's the story behind that?!

This one I'm not gonna harass him over. Price, mileage and colour all suck.
That colour is cool on something with some pizazz, but not a golf.

Badhobz 10-07-2023 06:00 AM

Watch him pop up and be like “oh mawww gurrrd, that’s the best color on ze golf you dummkopfs)

punkwax 10-07-2023 09:03 AM

I dig it

trollface 10-07-2023 09:56 AM

That thing was posted like 2 months ago here.

I said the seller had head injuries but was told 45k was a good deal and "market rate".

I'm shocked it's still for sale with a 3k discount, someone call Barret Jackson and Gas Monkey Garage.

JDMDreams 10-07-2023 10:54 AM

Did that estate sale rpi one sell? I recall it was similar price

jaaagman 10-07-2023 12:40 PM

I dig the color, but that asking price is insane. You'd have to really want a spektrum color Golf R to overlook the high mileage. It honestly looks like a wrap job.

Got it. Definitely need to go through all the systems, make some changes and do a lot of finishing before it's road ready. PO is an 80 car nut, that still builds in his garage. Included a ton of extra parts if needed, plus a boomer binder, full of receipts, specs, diagrams, etc. - will make reg and inspection process go a lot smoother.

For whatever reason JDM IS350s and ISFs are roughly half the price of USDM ones. Does anyone know why? This ISF is in Alberta but it's $22k. There's a bunch of IS350s in the lower mainland for 10-13k too.

https://m.facebook.com/marketplace/i...189/?ref=saved

I've always lusted after the ISF even though an automatic GT car isn't really my kind of thing so it's incredibly tempting.

whitev70r 10-09-2023 08:16 AM

Here is one in the ballpark. I see now others are in the high 30's to 40 K range. This one seems well maintained ... the mods to it, a bit personal and subjective.

Qmx323 10-09-2023 10:58 AM

JDM IS-Fs as low as 14K-17K landed lol

trollface 10-09-2023 11:06 AM

Yeah, but then you have an 18k right-hand drive ISF you can't see in person.

If the original car rode like garbage from the factory, throwing in some junky Tein coilovers and slamming it probably won't help either. A set of Ohlins would probably fix that, but I can't help but wonder what the undercarriage looks like...

Oh trust me I'm not in favor of buying one, folks out here making a quick buck flipping them for 5K+ on top. No one in Japan would want these, gas/displacement tax bracket goes crazy.

trollface 10-09-2023 03:48 PM

So what's the fascination with these besides the V8? They ride like poop, the trans I heard is potatoes.

bcrdukes 10-09-2023 05:33 PM

I think it's because it's a rare bird. Other than that, nothing.
