Selling my deceased dads turbo he's owned since new. Its black inside and out. Has 48,355kms. Garage kept all its life. Rarely driven in last 5 years or so since he's been sick. Covered in dust right now. Pictures would be pointless. Its very clean inside and never had any accidents. I think it had a cracked windshield years ago that was fixed.
If this is real, it will be sold today.

6o4__boi 01-27-2015 02:16 PM

seems pretty fake to me, i hate people like that.

for fuck's sakes you're selling a $34,000 car not your fucking college winter beater.
some pictures/details would be fucking fantastic.

heleu 01-27-2015 02:18 PM

There's nothing for sure on craigslist.

When I was car shopping in December, I came across several beautiful ads for STIs with lots of pictures. No real response from the sellers. They just wanted to see how much their cars are worth I guess.

SpeedStars 01-27-2015 02:30 PM

I think that 9/11 ad is fake.... pictures would be pointless wut.

CCA-Dave 01-27-2015 02:40 PM

If the father passed away recently, it could also be a grieving thing. There is a tonne of work that has to be done in the short term, and dealing with an estate can be a real challenge mentally. If you're not a car person, you might do exactly what this ad has done.

If it's real, it sells within 24hrs. If it's not real, oh well. Better to chase a car which doesn't exist, then get caught scamming by RS.

It's the exact combination I've always kept an eye out for I6/FI/4spd/coupe (sans sunroof). I had a silver one with red leather interior about 20 years ago and always regretted not keeping it.

I've seen that ad for months now (never knew it was a good deal). I bet you could score good with an offer.

Traum 01-27-2015 02:57 PM

Too bad I don't have $35k sitting around. The ad sounds like the classic Porsche has been well taken care of by the owner.

Jgresch 01-27-2015 03:29 PM

Maybe pictures are pointless because it's tucked inside the garage cover in dust. a 20 second call would determine if it's real or not.

68style 01-27-2015 03:31 PM

Hahaha if it's real that dad is gonna come back from the grave to kill his son for selling his Porsche for like 1/4 market value and then haunt whoever buys it for the rest of time

westopher 01-27-2015 03:53 PM

Well emailed, and ready to drive over with a cheque. Let's see what happens.

westopher 01-27-2015 04:10 PM

I'm not gonna hold my breath that it's real, but here's hoping.

Monty will come but he has his rabies shots. He does accompany me on most of my craigslist transactions though.

jackp0t 01-27-2015 10:53 PM

Sweet looking nsx for sure but the dealer doesn't even know that there's no such thing as "COMTECH" its COMPTECH superchager its probably a home made misspelled badge lol

If this was posted last year it would have been a good deal when the CAD$ was on par with the USD$ .lol

1991 Acura NSX 3.0L v6

I notice with the nsx(s) probably in other cars for sale as well seller base the price on the USD currency.
For example that red Nsx on the ad if it was 21000$ cad more people would consider it im sure.
But because his basing it on the USD it becomes 26000$CAD
IMO the sellers potential buyer(s) is pretty limited because of the high KM 350k km (220k miles)
On top of that it needs a clutch job (parts alone is gonna be 2000$)

Would you guys even bother to spend $ to fix the clutch and the oil leaks knowing it has 350k km

westopher 01-27-2015 11:36 PM

26k?! Fuck me. Get it inspected. Kms are relevant, but maintenance is much more relevant.
P.s. Still no reply for the porsche.
