$35k????? wtf

white rocket 03-17-2015 12:35 PM

no doubt! that's ridiculous

boostfever 03-17-2015 12:38 PM

Asking that much yet they didn't provide the most basic information with the ad. sounds like another case of idiots selling a car.

heleu 03-17-2015 01:19 PM

Crazy. You can buy a new base STI for $38K. Hmm...buy new, or save $3K for a 8 year old car...

I don't even see the KM listed, what a shit ad. Why isn't this in CL fails?

Jaffray 03-17-2015 01:27 PM

They seem like they don't know much about the STi. All they told me is that it has a k&n filter, aftermarket rims and didn't say much after that.

$35k is outrageous :heckno:

Yes. I spotted it at Lansdowne Mall last summer. Quite the site. Just sitting there, all alone in the parking lot. Wondering if that's Chris's collection?

US dollar on the rise. Toy cars owners are asking crazy prices.

For all of you interested in the 2007 STI you will be very interested in this.

Chrysler bought this car for $24,000 on trade for a viper. Costs of putting the vehicle on the lot are detailing and safety check. Typically these total to $1,000 depending on what parts needed to be replaced. Play it safe and call cost $25,000 because i know for a fact the car needed minimal work if any. Domestic won't do business for any less $1,500 over cost unless they need to blow it out. Being realistic for both sides you should be able to pick this car up for $27,500-28,000. But what do I know. I just do this everyday

SpeedStars 03-17-2015 03:43 PM

I saw an evo II m3 looking exactly like that last year and iirc it was on the sick cars thread with many of us speculating whether or not it was a real one. Turns out it is real

TouringTeg 03-17-2015 04:58 PM

Man this thread delivers.

My friend emailed about the Type R as well. I'm guessing the bidding war has already begun.

That E30 M3 collection! :fullofwin:

Coincidentally this was just posted on motortrend

I see rusts everywhere. Interior pics aren't available probably because it's fucking unbearable.

:lawl: how did the previous owner manage to squeeze $24,000 out of Chrysler when the CBB for trade in on that car is $18,845 - $20,570? sucks to be the dealership having paid so much for an STI with an aftermarket moonroof.

This one has been posted in here before. But when it was being sold by Land Rover for asking price of $16,500. It was sold within a couple days and reposted on CL a week later for $20k+ without having fixed the engine problem.

Pretty simple really. When you finally have someone interested in a vehicle on your lot that is next to impossible to sell (Viper) a dealership will bury them self in a trade. For example if that particular viper has $8,000 of mark up and the guys STI is worth $18,000 in on trade but you had to give away all your mark up in the Viper away to make a sale and get the aged stock off your lot then had to pay the salesman something for making the sale (not giving him a flat) and to making the books look better you later increase the cost of the trade to make up for the loss or flat on your sale. You following? So to keep my example going they would have kept the $2,000 of gross in the Viper to pay the salesman out (and sales manager) then took the other $6,000 and pushed it into the $18,000 STI now making it a $24,000 STI. If they then sell the STI for the $28,000 i mentioned they have now gained two sales grossed on both and got aged stock off their lot. Like I said......I only do this everyday
