from my recollection, there weren't that many automatic wrx's out there for this vintage. so when the seller makes comments about manuals being rare i couldn't help but think :huh: ?

also, isn't the radio and climate control trim panels supposed to be silver?

and it takes a lot of neglect or salt to make a late-model subaru rust like that... i see rust in the engine bay as well. out of province?

also no mention if the timing belt/water pump/clutch has been replaced. there is potentially $1-2k in just this alone.

but having said the above, it has potential for a rally car build...

In my opinion it isn't as bad as some people make it seem. Biggest issue is left turns and it's simple.... if you can't see if it's clear wait for the light and get used to people honking at you. Never had an issue going through drive-thru's I just reach over.
