Just like that 750iL I went to look at... "2 small claims" 32k and 37k. :(

westopher 10-26-2015 09:43 PM

After how many cars I've seen posted with 30k+ claims, it seems like every single person who moves to Vancouver is involved in a horrible car wreck upon arrival as if its some sort of rite of passage.
Like as soon as a car enters surrey or drives down kingsway its given a rebuilt title.

Especially if its an European brand.

Agreed, for that price once you get the trans fixed you're only going to be something like 5 grand away from one that you were able to test drive.

Plus there has to have been an event that caused the trans to fail, and who knows what else could have been damaged when that happened.

underscore 10-26-2015 10:47 PM

So I went on Autotrader (where cars are generally more expensive) and found 8 GTRs for about what that one will cost once it's fixed, give or take a couple grand. Whoever owns it is better off fixing it and then selling it if they want anywhere near that amount imo.

Been posted before, E46 M3 cab from Blitzkrieg ended up going to auction and it's back for sale again. Mileage is high but subframe was reinforced, sold at auction for $12,800 so there's room to bargain.

Good opportunity to get into R35 and mod the shit out of one since the tranny is done

i also asked a gtr owner about this and he said it's priced high for a us import with no maintenance history, and that quote for the trans repair is on the low side. it should be closer to $5k, if not more...

really thinking about this ZHP.....
2005 BMW 330CI COUPE M PERFORMANCE SPORT EDITION GRAPHITE - MANUAL

westopher 10-27-2015 11:51 AM

That looks very nice. Take it for a PPI, like now.
Expect 100% to replace the cooling system the minute you drive it home if it hasn't happened already, so factor that in. Start saving for a full suspension bushing overhaul as well. That can be said about basically every BMW that is for sale ever though.

bcrdukes 10-27-2015 12:04 PM

Wow, probably one of the last few ZHPs to roll off the production line!

is this a private sale or a dealer car? the pics looks like the bmw store in vancouver?

meme405 10-27-2015 12:23 PM

That GTR is a terrible buy, the guy managed to kill it in 30k miles?

Probably launched it a bunch, who knows what other damage he's done up in there, especially considering you can't take it for a drive and see if it's got any other issues.

I'd steer clear, not worth the hassle to try and save (potentially) a max of like 2 grand.

If he drops the price to like 40-45k, then it would be worth the gamble. At that point someone who wants to just gut the thing and send it to Switzer or AMS to get the entire thing built properly will scoop it up.

Oh and #f7lthy #whatsnext :troll:

Was looking around on that site a long long time ago, saw a beat up 2008 STI hatch, with 190k (this was in 2011 probably). Rear seats were cut up real bad and the front passenger seat was stained beyond normal use.

Who knows what the fuck happened in there... :heckno:

I would've never imagined to see pontiac and collector in the same sentence.

Something is definitely not right about it, "Summer's over (although the weather is fine!), and I don't currently need two cars, so my baby is up for sale after I put only 4,500 km on it since I purchased it in March."

Maybe its just me but that sounds really weird, bought it in march and looking to sell already? Also when people put "reps" on their car, I cant really trust them lol

And who takes a pic of their odometer liike that? LED foglights? Came from Calgary and never winter driven?
