Is it time to press the panic button on this team? Two losses against non-playoff opponents.

Thank goodness they are going on the road now for four games.

They are pissing away points! Where is the killer instinct to beat teams that they should beat? :facepalm:

AzNightmare 03-28-2015 09:25 PM

Surprisingly... Canucks still have a decent lead (relatively), and still in the "driver seat".
LA and Calgary are tied in GP with fewer points.

Canucks can't catch Anaheim anyway, so as long as they win when the other 2 teams win, they will be OK...

murd0c 03-28-2015 10:17 PM

At least we got one point, that's key right now

@STL
@NSH
@CHI
@WPG
LAK

Would consider most of those tough games. STL/NSH games might have less urgency since they are pretty much in the playoffs. Chicago has been slipping a bit but they usually show up to play the Canucks. WPG/LA games are going to be a battle.

InvisibleSoul 03-28-2015 10:49 PM

A three point cushion might not seem like much, but with only about seven games left, it's actually pretty substantial. It would likely take a 3-4 record in the remaining games to drop to 9th... so as long as they don't totally shit the bed like they did in December, it should be fine.

AzNightmare 03-28-2015 11:03 PM

Does anyone know where I can find team head-to-head stats for this season?
I thought there was a way to do it in NHL.com but I can't find it...

white rocket 03-29-2015 09:40 AM

What a heartbreaker :(. 1 point is better than zero I guess. We suck against shittier teams. AZ, CBJ, Buffalo, NJ, and now Dallas. What's up with that? Taking them for granted?

Canucks should do well vs those "good teams" considering they shit the bed vs the shittier teams :fuckthatshit:

6o4__boi 03-29-2015 10:30 AM

Or they could shit the bed completely and miss the playoffs...because Canucks.

I'm bracing for disappointment lol.
sigh, the life of a Canucks fan.

imo thats being far to generous knowing this team..

Flames or Kings go on a 3-4 game winning streak and nucks lose another 2 in the next few and it could easilly be dire

going to be interesting to see

Mike Oxbig 03-29-2015 11:41 AM

AV's Rangers are probably one of the most exciting team to watch this season.

punkwax 03-29-2015 12:22 PM

Impossible.

In order for the Canucks to miss the playoffs, they would need the Kings, Flames, AND Jets to pass them.

Jmac 03-29-2015 02:38 PM

Virtanen needs to step it up in the playoffs. Looked like garbage in game 1, barely noticed him so far in game 2 (which is at least an improvement).

Mike Oxbig 03-29-2015 03:13 PM

^ I saw a Victoria Royals sea plane at coal habour... does the team take that plane when they come here to play?

jdmhaze 03-29-2015 03:53 PM

Crazy story for anyone interested.

BarDown: Miami (Ohio) pulls goalie with 12 minutes left and scores three times

Quote:

Miami University of Ohio pulled their goalie multiple times with 12 minutes remaining and scored three unanswered goals against Providence College. Miami (Ohio) was down 6-2 when they originally pulled the goalie, so, unfortunately, the almost amazing comeback fell a little short.
