Drew Miller is going to make an awesome pirate for Halloween! |
That crosscheck to the back of the neck...FUCKKKKKK! |
looks like burrows was just bracing himself. borderline hit. dont think it was intentionalhttps://cdn1.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/ewB...21_43_50.0.gif Regarding Bieksa misconduct: apparently Bieksa was chirping him afterwards? call it classless, but we dont know the context. it comes to surface once something like this pops up (which is indeed terrible) but for all you know, Gaustad was doing terribad things all game to Bieksa |

^ can't imagine why :smug: |
So obviously now Miller is irrelevent unless lack completely shits the bed down the stretch/playoffs |
Burrows no suspension thankfully!! I'm shocked the NHL actually got it right for once |
no official word yet but wow i'm surprised. did they announce Gaustad as the very first nominee for next year's Oscar's yet? Just thinking about last night's reffing is still pissing me off...how you can fuck up a game and miss so many calls is beyond idiot. if Buttfuglyien doesn't get the rest of the season for attempted homicide...i don't know why there would a fucking player's safety department, they might as well fire Quintal and hire any idiot who doesn't know shit about hockey, they'd probably do a better job. edit: that better not be some april fools jokes...watch NHL release a vid later sayin, "with regards to Burrows...yeah. That was April fools. The NHL Player Safety Department has decided to suspend Alexandre Burrows for the rest of 2015 because of his affiliation to the Vancouver Canucks. Erm, I mean, that vicious, careless and blindside hit to, what was his name again? Right, Gaustad." |
Leafs tanking hard making sure they lose to the Sabres -_- |

Anyhow, you're definitely not giving Lack his due credit. I don't know how you recall the WCE era but the way I recall it, it was a time when 3 - 4 goals were not considered as safe leads. That's fucking Cloutier for you. :lol Lack IMO is actually the other way around. He'll play average... and when it comes down to crunch time, just finds that edge and manages to get the job done. Kinda reminds me of Jonathan Quick prior to his 2 Stanley Cups. People don't really pay attention to him as anything special of a goaltender, until it comes down to crunch time and the guy just steps up. Not saying Lack = Quick, but IMO you've totally got Lack/Cloutier comparison all wrong. Quote:

good description of Lack Yea with Cloutier you could never count on him when it counted. Distinctly remember like you are saying 3-4 goal leads, or an absolute dominate game by WCE, huge offensive output, then the game ends with the team holding onto a win by the tips of their fingers. I believe i said it before but realistically, every goalie is VERY good the tough part is finding consistency. Even when Lack was backing up Lu sure Lu is excellent, at one time he was among the best, but overall Lack's talent and ability are like 80% to Lu's 100. Stories like Hammond etc. are just one off's, the guy hasn't been great at other levels and will be a flash in the pan when it dawns on him physically and mentally that this is the NHL. |
100% agree that every goalie nowadays is very good, which is why IMO you don't need to break the bank to get a goalie generally regarded as elite. The gap between a regular and elite goalie is quite small, given how teams can be structured and coached nowadays. The goalies are all huge, athletic, and receive amazing coaching. Even an elite goalie is succeptible to bad goals or bad games here and there. A 'good enough' goalie gets you 90% of an elite goalie, better to spend the cap savings on an improved skater at any position. We like to rag on Cloutier, but he really wasn't THAT bad relative to other goalies who we had in that era. And he is also our goalie consultant... |
Clouts would play absolutely lights out one game, make very acrobatic saves and get everyone pumped then.. http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/...4mh7krnjpg.jpg But I always liked him because... |
haha fucking feisty as always |

:rukidding: LA's last few games looks like this... Oil, Avs, Canucks, Oil, Flames, Sharks. That's most likely gonna be: win, win, probably win, win, probably win, win. Canucks last three games: LA, Yotes and Oilers which will probably look like: probably lose, lose, hopefully win cus i'll be at the game and it's Gino's night, if Canucks lose this...fuck em. right in the pussy. just sayin. Never thought i'd really say this but i hope Flames keep winning and the Jets can hang out in the wild card spot. If LA doesn't make the playoffs, the West is that much easier and more fun to watch. I fucking hate LA. |
