With Pavelec in net, anything is possible

6o4__boi 04-04-2015 01:40 PM

With LA next and the invincible cupcakes afterwards
I think I'm starting to feel a little concerned.

Jmac 04-04-2015 01:42 PM

You're not going to win many games when your goalie gives up 5

And that's why I can't shake off the Lack reminds me of Clouts thing lol...tending today was just fucking horrible.
No, fatigue isn't an excuse. If Eddie can't handle this he's just not cut out to be an NHL starter.

I'm not surprised at this point. Can't remember the last time Canucks made things easier on themselves when the season is on the line.

My cousin was at the game (lives in Winnipeg) and she was sitting next too two Canucks fans from Surrey. I don't know the details but they were acting like idiots and got kicked out of the game... Typical hahaha

That's awesome. :buttrock:

Mixed

Generated some scoring opportunities, took a couple of penalties (one very unnecessary), generated some turnovers, had a couple of long shifts.

Spelling is either Bärtschi, Bartschi, or Baertschi. NHL.com uses Baertschi.

Woot Woot Colorado just tied it up vs Kings

Losing the last two sure doesn't help the cause, but the Canucks are definitely still in the driver's seat right now. Should only need two points out of the final three games to make it in.

spoon.ek9 04-04-2015 10:02 PM

well LA won tonight and they have more ROW than Winnipeg by a far margin.

I dunno man, LA is 3 pts back.
minus that fluke game they're unbeatable for the Canucks.
Add that to the fact that they struggle mightily against shitty teams and its worrisome.

I just took a look at the standings and nowhere do I feel like they're in the driver's seat...more like deer in the headlights. Are they gonna get out of the way in time?

RiceIntegraRS 04-05-2015 09:30 AM

We do have somethings working for us. 2 of Calgarys last 3 games are against the Kings and Jets so we can pray those dont become 3pt games. Lets see wat the Canucks are made of. id be pretty happy to see 5 Canadian teams make the playoffs this year

spoon.ek9 04-05-2015 09:57 AM

happy birthday Boho!

Again, it doesn't matter if LA finishes ahead of us. It doesn't matter if Calgary finishes ahead of us. It doesn't matter if the Jets finish ahead of us.

We just need to not have ALL THREE of them finish ahead of us, which is EXTREMELY unlikely to happen.

Even if the Canucks lose all three remaining games in regulation, they can still make the playoffs.

National Hockey League Playoff Chances - Sports Club Stats

Canucks currently sit at a 98.5% chance to make it in.

AzNightmare 04-05-2015 04:05 PM

I'm more concerned about slipping to the wild card. Our only chance against Calgary is to stay in 2nd (or 3rd). But moot point if Calgary drops and LA catches up..

Ch28 04-05-2015 04:39 PM

I know the playoffs are a whole different beast, but I can't really see Vancouver beating either Anaheim, LA, or Calgary to make it into the second round.

Failed Flying Elbow attempt

tis gonna cost him

68style 04-05-2015 06:02 PM

What an idiot, thank goodness Jackman decided to basically fall down on his own to avoid it

cdizzle_996 04-05-2015 06:26 PM

Jackmans taking a beating lately

cdizzle_996 04-05-2015 06:29 PM

Not even a fine... Lulz

Great consistency NHL..

CRS 04-05-2015 08:09 PM

Gomez getting fined 4k for his elbow is the biggest joke.
