Crosss climate 2s!!?!! Did you say cross climate 2?!?!! I’d just came in my pants.

2010 Lexus Camry. Front wheel drive. Drove around like an all wheel drive monster last year in the snow. Look forward to more fun this year.

So far I got cc2s on the Camry. Her RX. My dads RX and soon her dads sc430 and the 128i

If they are able to be slapped on the ratrolla I’d do that too. Unfortunately it’s not an option….. yet.

roastpuff 12-01-2023 02:28 PM

When my parents' tires wear out I'm slapping CC2 or similar all-weather on their car. One less car to swap to winters on for me.

68style 12-01-2023 02:31 PM

They look so terrible though, that tread pattern is yuck

If I had known they were on the Lexus Camry when you picked me up the other day I might not have gotten in even with your soft hands and inviting smile

Badhobz 12-01-2023 02:54 PM

WHO GIVES A SHIT! they rode good right!? RIGHT!?!?!?!?

westopher 12-01-2023 03:37 PM

Fuckin eh. I need to somehow disguise this as my wife's Christmas present.

SSM_DC5 12-01-2023 04:31 PM

I got em, but turns out I only drove like 700 kms last year when I went to renew my insurance, so my opinion is pretty useless......

When I got them for Acura TL Dynamic (yes, with LSD) and swapped off of XIce 3's, I swear I can feel a difference.

Functionally, they're fine but I find myself feeling less confident and more cautious still.

My other hot take: a lot of tires that do really well in east coast winters absolutely shit bricks in Vancouver.

Same X-Ice 3 that I was bombing down snowy 407 in at 140kmh is almost useless in the slush (SH-AWD is all over the road) ...and Nokian WRG2s that slayed the dry east coast snow totally got me stuck in Vancouver.

westopher 12-01-2023 10:30 PM

People like to joke about how Vancouver drivers always complain it's worse here, but it legitimately is a lot harder to drive when it's dumping wet snow onto streets that were just rained on and -3 than when its -15 and snow fell onto dry pavement like in most of the rest of canada. Edmonton was a lot easier to drive in a snowstorm. Worst part though was the ice ruts in a low car.

bcrdukes 12-02-2023 04:45 AM

lol 407 private toll road and top notch maintenance crew around the clock should never be compared to snow day in Vancouver

Badhobz 12-02-2023 05:39 AM

i think it was so bland that the drive from Vancouver to richmond knocked him out better than the date rape drug i had ready

supafamous 12-02-2023 06:47 AM

Is anyone running an all weather other than the CC2 or WRG4? Curious to know if the other brands are catching up or even offering a legit option.

If I need to get 2 sets I'll get something cheaper dedicated for winter then end up doing something stupid like buying some merc wheels with summers and blow money on coilovers for this piece of shit too.

I'm running CC2s on a FWD. These tires got me through last year's snow storm, no problem at all, even through the worst of it when everyone was getting stuck :lol

Easily the best tires I've owned.

I kinda like the pattern, it's aggressive.

Badhobz 12-02-2023 10:17 AM

Yeah ! It looks like my wife’s eye brows.

whitev70r 12-02-2023 01:21 PM

Anyone running Continental Viking 7 ... if so, your real life comments and reviews?

Ok it's not just me then that I found the X-Ice 3 not well suited to Vancouver winter. I always thought I just got ones that are too wide but tyre reviews debunked that myth recently. Most snow tires have a hard time with PNW winters and the car just gets pushed around by the heavy water laden snow.

Them Asians and the microblading eh?

Who would've known that those Chicana Latina girls were ahead of their time.

Now all these girls are tattooing their eyebrows.

Badhobz 12-03-2023 12:15 PM

wtf is that ? My wife’s eye brows are like cc2s because she pissed off at me all the time.

Xi3 does not have enough voids for PNW snow weather - it's designed for dry icy stuff. That's why it lasted so well, and did so well in the dry/wet (H speed rating vs the T of the Blizzak/VC7 etc) Hence if you look at the new stuff that Michelin put out, you can see the tread pattern has bigger sipes/voids and is more aggressive.
