^ this exactly. My fiancé’s focus wagon has hakka’s on. When I had my ST with WRG’s on (which has always done really well, but then I put coil overs on and got beached on ice). But once I parked it and used her wagon, i was very impressed with the tire! Went to manning park in a bad snowstorm to go snowshoeing/camping and it never skipped a beat. For a smaller size tire people say the hakka’s are the best
anyone recommend a place to get tires at? Ive always got them in the states, but wondering if its even worth right now...
looking at 205/50/17 either XI3's or Blizzaks ws80
edit : seems like costco isnt a bad place to check
Costco has decent prices and if you dont care about the wheels you use, their mounting fees are cheap (and sometimes scratch or in my case, drop your wheels on its face)
Until Oct 30th, DiscountTire ebay site has $100 USD off a set of 4 tires. I compared prices for summer tires and after duties, its still 250 cheaper in the states for 225/45/17s for my bmw.

So a little contemplation here . . .
I'm currently running Blizzak snow tires on my stang, and have the stock Pirelli summer tires in storage.
I only have one set of rims, so mounting and installing every 6 months or so, slowly gets costly. A second set of rims is not an option, especially for 19" to clear the brakes.
I'm considering if "All Weather Tires" is a viable option after I use up both sets of winter and summer tires.
Does anyone have any experience with all weather tires, and their treadwear and performance?
I'd prefer to have one set of tires for dry, wet, and light snow.
Just ordered some 285/70R17 Goodyear Duratracs for the truck. It'll be nice to have traction this winter Slightly oversized but they should/hopefully fit.

Got Costco to warranty/exchange my bent steel wheels. Decided to go with another set during the waiting period though. Anybody want a new set of 17x7, 5x114.3's?
I emailed the CT product screenshot to Kal Tire and got their 5% price beat guarantee.
For me, I ordered a set of 225/45R18. They are regularly $235/ea at CT, and with the 20% discount, it's $189. Now add in the 5% price beat and I got the tires at $179/ea at Kal Tire.
Also Continental offers a $65 rebate if you buy 4 of these tires.

One advantage of going through CT is their Options MasterCard. Not only do you get 4% back in CT money on the set of tires, but you also get 12 months no interest/no fee financing on the tires.

The tire rack rim specs are pretty complete.
16 inch diameter, 6.5 inch wide
offset: the face where it bolts to the hub is 42 mm outwards from the centreline of the rim width
backspacing is from the back of the rim 5.393" to the face where it bolts onto the hub.
Bolt pattern 5 in a circle diameter of 112 mm.
The only thing maybe important/missing is the centre bore size.
Costco spec tells you the bolt pattern and for some reason the wheel bolt size M14x1.5 with 17mm hex head lol.
They don't provide any other info so it's hard to say if it'll work, aside from the bolt pattern matching.
Generally most places should allow a test fit of the rims, no charge (at least CT did when i worked there)...

I ran all weather tires through last winter. It was fine with all the dumpings. I decided to give it one winter to see if I actually needed snow tires with my current car. I was able to drive up the hills of New West with 6 inches of fresh snow.
Can't tell you if they're still any good this season, my tires are a year old and they're maybe 50% done. I'm sure the tires would last much longer on a different car. 4500 lbs and about 400tq chewed them up rather quick. If they're no good this winter, I guess it's work from home.

What would happen if I ran one size up for the ratio up front...? So 225/45/18 with stock size 255/35/18 in the rear
